Hello again folks! Day 13 almost in!
First of all congratulations on the surgery! Secondly, just go with what your body is telling you. It might be that a short walk is all you can do right now. You have been through a huge change and you are bound to feel weak especially if you did a 2 week liver cleanse. Glad you are feeling better by getting back on the Soups. Sounds as if you will be very sucessfull. Kate

Feeling weak!
Hope you feel better soon. Let us know how you get on !

Milestone
I won't eat bread as it fills me up so much and then I don't get the Protein in. Even now 16 months later, however I am glad... I could eat a whole loaf before lol.

Stopped losing weight.
Yes its normal. Try staying off the scales for a few days and see how you are then. I know its hard initially and we want to weigh everyday to see the numbers going down but as long as you are keeping to the plan it'll come off. Maybe just not every day! 19llbs in 11 days is amazing, focus on that and be kind to yourself. Congratulations on the surgery Kate

Going Back to work Today!

I have a dent
In the stomach area or in the 'tummy area'?

Pickles and olives
I tried a year out of surgery, pickles and onions don't agree with me anymore but olives are lush. They are a slider food for me though so I don't have them very often and usually when I am eating out so I can't hog the whole jar! Kate

Eating normal as in pre surgery normal
Erm..... Sorry, will have to go back and read that a few more times.

Telling friends & family
I hid it initially, apart from a couple of good friends but then I told everyone prior to surgery, especially if they asked why I would be *out of action* and afterwards if they asked how I had lost the weight. I have been fully supported by friends, family and workmates. Only one asked if I couldn't manage to lose weight with dieting. My 5 minute stare with raised eyebrows answered her question lol. Kate

Driving [emoji592]
Four weeks for both and wish I had had more time off. I was exhausted all the time and had to cat nap throughout the day. I even went out to my car and slept in my lunch break.

Protein shakes post op
Congratulations on the upcoming surgery. I tried a few flavoured Proteins before I had the surgery but just be aware that your taste buds may change and what you liked before you don't like afterwards. Try sample sizes if you can. I am sure you would be okay adding flavouring yourself but check with you NUT to be sure. Good Luck Kate

4 days post-op, trouble staying awake?
I slept a lot too, in between walking and sip sip sipping. I was 10 days out and a friend came for lunch. After 15 minutes I had to leave her finishing her meal (the rest of my family were there) and I went to bed and slept for about 4 hours. Your body has been through a massive change. Rest and sleep when you need to. Congratulations on the surgery Kate
-
Huge but hopeful...
Wow you have done amazing to date and I am very sure you will continue to do so. Please keep posting so we know how you are getting on. Kate

Will I go?
@@swoobury It's normal to be nervous, most of us are heading towards surgery whatever kind it is. I did my will and invited all my sons out for a meal before I went on the liver diet. They called me a drama queen and told me to get over myself lol. That grounded me and they have all been very supportive especially the youngest (17) who was living at home at the time. Helping me in the loo one day he said, "If you EVER tell any of my friends I did this, I will deny it". Their calm and positive attitude pre and post op really helped. Good luck on the day

Pickles and ice water ?
I used to love pickled gherkins. I have tried them over the months and still they don't sit well with me so I am giving them up.

What should I bring to the hospital? Making a list.
Depends on how long you are staying in.. I took a lot more as I was in for a few nights (planned stay) Toiletries, mobile and charger, kindle and magazines, lip salve (dont use if you are on oxygen!), pillow for journey back home (if in a car), Gas strips (even if just used to freshen your mouth and nothing else!, 2 nightdresses, comfy outfit for going home and flip flops. Im sure I might have taken other things but can't remember
