  4. Tomorrow is 3 weeks post op for me. I have pretty much gone up .4 and down .4 this last week. But I also noticed my body fat % has gone down during this time. Still it's frustrating.
  5. I'm 17 days out and have had no change in the last 5 days. It's making me crazy, but apparently it's not uncommon.

  9. What a kick ass idea!!!! You seriously rock !!!!! Much easier than going through kp.org and tracking down someone that can tell me what i needed.. this way I can weigh in after my class and start my process.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App They should be open tomorrow, I think. If not then Tuesday. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I would go into any Kaiser adult medicine and ask for a weight check. Then make sure they document it in the computer. Then start losing weight. I originally went for a regular appointment in January 2016 and was shocked by my weight. I did a non-surgery healthy eating class and then in May asked for a referal for WLS. By the time I met with the surgeon she went off of my January weight as my starting point even though I'd lost about 18 pounds already by the time I saw her. 11. I had surgery 13 days ago at Kaiser Fremont. I went to orientation meeting/class in June. At the end of the meeting they tell you to go to the reception desk and book s consult with a surgeon. I didn't rush down there, but noticed some people left the room early. Turns out many people got their consultant appointment that very day. I couldn't get in for 6 weeks. They were booked by the time I was in line. Finally met with the surgeon and she gave me a goal weight. Had to lose 12 more pounds before the next step. So if your weight is already documented start losing now. It will count. Took me a while longer to get to my 5 pounds to goal because I wasn't sure I was going to go through with surgery at that point. When I was finally 5 to goal I called to schedule my psych appointment and Fremont had lost their dr. So had to go to Union City which was booked up for 5 more weeks. Ugh! So, for me it was 6 months from orientation to surgery. A friend of mine around the same time had things fall into place much faster and it was just under 3 months for her. Had to do with her hitting goal just 9 days before I did and she originally had a psych appointment early on. Hope that helps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Thanks. I had surgery there on 12/19 with Dr. Chu. Have you picked a doctor? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Do you use the recommended 1 patch per day or two? My list from surgeon has me on 2 multi's and 6 Calcium per day. I'm assuming since the patch isn't being ingested that using just 1 per day is fine. Right? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. I definitely have not been getting in 60 grams a day. My doctor said if I hit between 45 and 50 I'll be good. 64 is the "month" goal for me. I usually drink a protein shake and a half and that's it as far as protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Me too. I just got some Adkins Lift drinks that have 20g of protein. That has really helped. They have 3 flavors, but I've only tried the Berry so far.
  16. I started binge watching it the night before my surgery. Lost a few hours of sleep from it. Since surgery, 10 days ago, I've finished season 3. Season 1 & 2 aren't available on demand so I need to track them down.
  17. I'm still having a hard time hitting 60+ grams of protein per day. I seem to get to 50 okay, but the extra 10 is a challenge. Are you getting in all your protein and how much were you told to have per day?

  19. My daily menu is nothing exciting. I usually have a Protein Shake and a half, and then something of the Soup variety for dinner. I've been digging light creamy Soups, because they have a lot of flavor. I don't think I've been doing 64 g and 64 ounces, but I've been doing about 50. That's what my doctor suggested. I have my 10 day postop tomorrow, and I'm probably going to be cleared for soft foods. I can't wait! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App When you have soup how much do you usually have? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App I can drink 8oz of broth now. Been primarily living on premier Protein shakes, broth with protein added, G2 drink, crystal light. I've had yogurt once, still not something I actually like, and I've had cottage cheese and refried Beans with plain greek yogurt mixed in. On christmas I did have two spoons of mashed potatoes drenched in turkey juice and a shred of turkey that I chewed to death. I also have chewed some string cheese into mush too. I know these things aren't on my current list, but I'm careful to not swallow anything until it's mush. My doctor said I could have a scrambled egg with cheese on day 10! whoohoo.. and if that goes well I could also try some fish. She seems to be less strict on the stages than I see in other programs.

  22. Congrats on the weight-loss! But I'm sorry you're still in pain. Hopefully it heals quickly! I feel great, as far as pain. I've been off pain meds since the 22nd. I'd rate it may be a two out of 10, it really doesn't hurt except when I switch positions. I'm able to lay on both sides, and flat on my back. My main problem has been that my throat is still super sore, and I know it's nothing other than pain from intubation. It's slowly getting better but it's super frustrating. I feel it on the side of my face and it's just very blah. On the upside, getting required fluids in his gotten easy, I have a doctors appointment tomorrow hoping to move onto soft foods. Im down about 15 from surgery. I wish you guys the best! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Congratulations! Sorry about the throat pain. I never had any which I was very surprised by. I have had a strange feeling of being strangled around my neck. Finally figured out it was from gas so taking gas meds more regularly. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. How is everyone doing? I've been off pain meds since Christmas Day, but yesterday started getting a bad pain on my right side at my upper rib cage. Just talked to nurse and she said it could be an internal stitch there that I pulled or aggravated. Might be taking pain meds again if it gets worse. On a positive side I'm down 12 pounds since surgery! Yay! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. My doctor said I could try egg on day 10 and then if that was ok I could also try fish. Day 6 may be too soon. I'm at day 8 now can't wait for day 10.
  25. I'm 6 days out and having the same issue. Plus my tongue has the white film layer on it that will NOT brush off. Driving me nuts!
