Hair loss question
jhclikesshopping@gmail.com replied to emilyphoenix74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&AI have both nightmare and success. So around 3 months, I worked on getting my Protein from food and not shakes. I was usually between 60-70 grams and my hair was coming out so fast. I was so sad... crying all the time. then at about 5 months, I said, let's go back to 80-90 grams protein and added back one 35 g Protein shake. The hair loss decreased so much!!! Also, I cut my hair short so it did not feel as much. Now I only clean my brush out every 2-3 days instead of ever day. If this help... look at it this way... It's going to happen, and you minimize it by having more protein. Also, I use a Biontin shampoo by JSON. Not sure if it does any good but it makes me feel like it does.

I feel very guilty and upset
First, You are in my thoughts and prayers. Second, we have ups and downs... Cake with cancer could be a little of both. I agree - it's amazing that you posted. I would not have the courage to post and own up to my mistake (and I did one last week with a chocolate nugget - there I did it). Take this as a point of reflection and move on. You have a new journey - don't let food get in your way. Focus on what you need and take it... Food you do not need.... trust us, we know. Good luck and please keep us up to date on how you are doing and if you need anything!!!!

Lunch ideas?
If you have a trader joes - they have roasted chicken patty (fully cooked). I pair the patty with 1/4 nectarine and a few mini sweet peppers. Otherwise, low fat babybel cheese, cucumbers and turkey is another one of my go too. And also - tuna with avocado stuffed in the sweet peppers is also a good one. Hope this helps.

Uh oh ... I ate a strawberry
I did the same thing when I was 7 days out with a Grape. Its ok... just calm down and as long as there is no pain, you will be fine.

15 days post op with chronic diarrhea
I had the same issue - I think it was the Protein shakes. Once I got real food and less Protein Shakes, my diarrhea lessened and now it's gone (I still have one shake a day).

Why don't I eat?
good for you for getting out there.... Here has been my solution lately. I have been getting salads with a good lean Protein and dressing on the side. Then I just eat the protein and a few vegetables. Then I say, not a fan of this lettuce type but I ate all the good parts. There you go... See if that works. Saved my butt at work lunches a couple of times.
