  1. That's great; congratulations!

Dangerous Beauty 10. I was born with 11 toes.
  3. Hey Judith, even if I get a decision tomorrow, I may have to wait for a date. Dr. Kuwada more recently moved here from Chicago, and is in the process of being recertified by Inamed. He won't schedule me until he has enough surgeries for Inamed to come proxy his technique.
  4. Magic, that is awesome! I certainly hope you can get it all done in time, and I'll say a prayer for you.
  5. Jaime, that's awesome! We look forward to meeting you! Yolanda, if you can, please join us for lunch too!
  6. My blood work came back OK, which isn't surprising to me. My bad cholesterol is a little high, but not extremely. As soon as Dr. Kuwada can get the letter dictated, it will go to the insurance. Unfortunately, his nurse practitioner didn't give any indication how long that might take. Moving right along in the mean time, my endoscopy is scheduled for Tues., Dec. 6th, 6 a.m. at CMC.
  7. Kim, please let me know if you need anything whatsoever. You have my numbers, please don't hesitate to call me.
  8. Like others, I wish I had some pearls of wisdom that would have this all make sense and hurt less, but I don't. You're in our thoughts and prayers. I agree with Vinesqueen, a therapist can help you through this. Stay busy with your children, and keep up posted.
  9. Jennifer, I'm right there with everyone else. You should definitely stick around LBT! ... and if you try to weezel your way out of lunch in December, I'll personally take offense. Well, OK, maybe not; but I still want to meet you in person
  10. Keep at it Magic! You're getting so close. You can do this!
  11. I am so sorry for your loss! You and your family will be in my prayers.
  12. Kim, I'll give you a call and/or drop you a note at work tomorrow. Please try not to worry; everything will work out. Is Curtis' OK or at least not in pain while he awaits a surgery date?
  13. Even if you find that your insurance covers the surgery, be patient. This is not a quick, easy process. There are a lot of hoops to jump through before and after surgery. I started my journey in Sept., and my paperwork may go to my insurance for consideration by next week ... and I'm still pre-op. Good luck, God Bless, and go for it!
  14. You'll do great! ... and remember, there are those of us who want to be in your shoes and are still waiting
  15. Rea Rd. is a bit of a hike from Belmont too. I may reconsider at a later date, but for now I think I'll have to pass too. Thanks for keeping us in mind!
  16. Dianne, Tell me more, i.e. cost, frequency, duration, location, etc.? Needless to say, I won't commit to anything until I know I'm getting surgery; does a "definite maybe" work? I like oxymorons (sp?)
  17. I called on Tues. and Cathy said they hadn't received my psych eval yet, but said she would check into it. She called me back yesterday (Wed.), and said they had gotten my eval, but my blood work wasn't recent enough. I went today for blood work - a 2 hour wait at the hospital and 8 tubes of blood! Cathy did say the lab work ususally comes back next day. Maybe my paperwork will go to the insurance tomorrow? We also talked about going ahead with my endoscopy. I have acid reflux; so surgery or not, there's a diagnosis to give to the insurance company. I'm also encouraged by hearing of another UHC insured (thru the same employer) with BMI below 40 that got approved for WLS.
  18. Way to go Sherrie! I want to be an over achiever too; but it will help when I actually get banded
  19. Congratulations and hope you have a speedy recovery!
  20. Welcome and great job so far!
  21. Congratulations!
  22. Congratulations! I hope to join you soon.
  23. Good luck Paul & JCJSTL! I'm sure you'll both do just fine
