  1. Kim, Prayers continue! We love you! You have my number, please don't hesitate to call if there is anything whatsoever I can do.
  2. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow. So far I've been really impressed with his office staff. They've been prompt and very courteous. I've filled out a ton of questionaires (sp?), have already requested all the required medical records, and hope they've been faxed when I get there. I have a sleep study this Friday (10/28/05). I have restless leg w/periodic limb movement disorder, and they want to re-check me for apnea. I had minimal apnea 6 years & many pounds ago. I have an appointment with a nutritionist on Tuesday (11/01/05). I guess the big ones left are endoscopy & a visit to the shrink, but 3 appointments in the next 8 days is enough to do me for this week. I'll look into scheduling the rest of it after I see the doctor tomorrow. I'm sure I'm dreaming, but it would be so awesome to walk out of there tomorrow with a surgery date!
  3. That is funny! You must have been wearing a skirt? I'm glad you made it home safe. I've been thinking of you ever since I saw that you were running from the storm.
  4. Way to go Melissa! banana.gif" />
  5. Welcome Courtney! Please forgive the delayed response, I've been out of town. I think I'm the last in our little NC group that is still working on preliminaries. I see my surgeon tomorrow. I too hope you can join us for lunch!
  6. That's the one; thanks Kathy! I'm glad I asked, because it does have some questions I didn't have on my list of things to ask. I'm home from TN/WV and had my patient information package to be completed prior to my visit. I should have all of the paperwork out of the way pretty quickly, and my PCP's office is so helpful, they'll fax their piece to the surgeon. I'm hoping it all goes quickly. I can wait for just about anything if I know when it's coming. Even if a date is months away, I can deal, just give me a date. I pray God grants me patience ... now
  7. I have an appointment with my bariatric surgeon on Tuesday morning I recall seeing a thread on here about questions to ask; does anyone know where I can find that post? I know to ask about how many surgeries they've performed, and number of complications encountered. Any other suggestions for questions?
  8. Dianne, Prayers go with you; please let us know when you are home safe!
  9. Kim, I'm on-line from WV. God bless you and Curtis! I'll keep you both in my prayers! I won't be back on line until Monday, but you have my number if you need to call me! Please keep us posted! Karen
  10. Thanks everyone! :banana
  11. Congratulations Melissa! :banana
  12. Has any one heard anything on Melissa? Her surgery is/was today, but I don't know what time.
  13. OK Kim, so how do I do that?
  14. Congratulations!
  15. I saw my PCP on Monday for a sinus infection. He's referred me to Dr. Kuwada. Dr. Kuwada's nurse just called, and the ball is getting ready to roll! She took down some basic information, and I should get an evaluation appointment within the next week. Now if I only knew how to insert the dancing bananas, this post would be complete
  16. Congratulations! You both look awesome!

CandySmooch - My DH is the same way, except I used to be one of those skinny girls ... ten years ago. Like yours, he can still pitch a tent for me. As long as he likes it, I don't care to look. Vines - be thankful! If I didn't shave/trim mine, I could braid it into rows on either side ... and I'm not exaggerating! Though if it weren't for electric trimmers, I wouldn't be able to; I haven't seen mine in over a year.
  18. Melissa, It's your turn girlfriend! I'm sure you'll do great! Our thoughts and prayers go with you, and please let someone know how you're doing after surgery
  19. Welcome Sherrie! I hope you get to join us from time to time during our monthly lunches.
  20. Awesome progress! I can't wait to get mine!
  21. Rant away! I can say that I blame you.
  22. ReneBean - I've heard of a one eyed trouser snake ...
  23. I can't begin to imagine, but sounds like it could have been much worse. I don't know what I would do if faced with the same. I'm sure her husband would want to find another job, and the kids need to be in school; but I don't know if I could stay away from my home. How long have they been here?
  24. Did Paula and family suffer any damage, or do they know yet? Please let her know we're praying for them! I'd like to meet her, but very well understand if they get to go back home.
