  1. Cousin BioTech - I don't know how to dial internationally, but their phone number is 33 (0) 3 20 14 40 00. God Bless, good luck, and let us know what you find out
  2. I think the board was down earlier today? ... or at least I couldn't get to it. Have you tried calling the company that makes your band? Maybe they can help you find someone here in the states?
  3. That is so inspiring! Keep up the great work!
  4. Melissa, sounds like you're having a blast! I wanna come  Dianne, I may get additional counseling after I'm banded. I can honestly say I liked the psychologist Dr. Kuwada referred me to for my pre-op. Kathy, how old is your dad? I hope his surgery is a non-event. I went to my PCP this morning. Between the uncontrollable sporadic crying and not seeing Aunt Flo for over two months, he's going to check my hormone levels again. I've been perimenopausal for over a year now. The lack of Flo could be full onset of menopause or the result of an endometrial ablation I had last April. If low, he'll start me on replacement therapy ... among other reasons, my hypothyroidism puts me at greater risk for osteoporosis. In the mean time, I'm starting Lexapro. I kid you not, I am the poster child for better living through pharmaceutical drugs!
  5. Hi all! I move to my "new" office on Friday. It's two floors down and almost directly below where I am now. I met with my new boss yesterday. We'll need to get to know each other's mannerisms, but I think we'll work together OK. I will get to change my work hours to 7-4 from 8-5. More time in the evening will be great! Kathy, I made it through lunch without crying. I see my PCP tomorrow and plan on going back on antidepressants. Kim, I hope Curtis has a good ENT visit!
  6. Dianne, I'm sure Kim has your number. Yes, it's 12:45 for lunch. I don't mind crying when I have any reason whatsoever for doing so. It's the crying for no reason that gets to me. My DH looked at me this weekend and asked if I'm OK. I burst into tears. He asked every so gently why I was crying, and all I could say is "I don't know?"
  7. Dianne, I don't mind whatsoever that you invited Debbie; the more the merrier. I do have to forewarn you though, I've been crying at the drop of a dime here lately. I don't want to, don't mean to, but can't seem to stop it from happening sometimes.
  8. Welscome Sherry! You've come to the right place. These folks are caring and wonderful!
  9. Awesome! I hope to be following in your footsteps before too long. No, I haven't heard anything new. I'm patiently waiting.
  10. Angie, our prayers go with you! OK, I apologize up front for my goofy sense of humor - "pain in the butt"? ... are you sure you don't have hemorrhoids?
  11. OK, now I'm curious. I'll have to check this out.
  12. Congratulations! I'm jealous I hope to join you soon. I wish you a speedy recovery.
  13. Starr - Welcome Back! We missed you!
  14. Kim, I may be exercising, but I'm not eating right. I'm ashamed to tell you all what I've been eating.
  15. Please forgive me if I don't participate for now. I'm not eating right. Let me get used to exercising regularly again, and then I'll start on the quality of what I eat.
  16. Congratulations Jill; that is fantastic news!
  17. I am having technical problems. I can log in, but am very quickly being "logged out" and have to re-log. I've had to keep posts very very short because I'm logged out before I finish typing them. Please help!
  18. My body was already screaming when I got up to go to the gym again this morning. I'm going to see how long I can go and not miss a workout. Once I get re-acclaimated to getting up early and exercising, I'll add weight training to the cardio; but for now, the cardio is wearing me out enough
  19. Wow Celeste, that is a lot to think about. I'd love to have an opportunity to travel internationally I wish you the greatest success in whatever you decide.
  20. I don't know if I can give you an accurate medical description of erosion, but in my understanding the band eats into your stomach, rather than staying on the outside where it belongs.
  21. Randy, me too and full-face no less.
  22. PB is short for productive burp. If something can't go down, it will come back up.
  23. Went to the Y. It was like a homecoming; I've been in and out of the same Y for 7 years. I was welcomed back with open arms and started my day with another good cry. I'm still having technical issues; so my posts will be short.
