Angie, what time is/was your fill today? From what I've heard, it's not bad at all; but what do I know? I cannot wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Jennifer's RNY surgery is next Wednesday, and she's making last minute preparations. I've asked her to keep me posted so I can update everyone.

Stephanie at Dr. V's faxed a packet to me yesterday at work. I filled it out and faxed it right back along with what records I had on hand. Today I'll concentrate on having the rest of the required records faxed to Dr. V's office.

We'll let's pray that we're all eating soup again in March!

I went to pick up my records from Dr. Kuwada's, and they will only give me his records. I'll have to request copies of my psych & nutrition evals, and office notes and referral letter from my PCP all over again! ARRGH! The Good News is that if I can get it all together quickly, Dr. Volleinger can see me on Tuesday! Please say a prayer for me; I'd like to have a band before we meet for lunch in March.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! No special plans, but may go out for dinner OBTW, is it time for "last supper syndrome"?

I called Dr. V's office yesterday. Having already done all of my preliminaries, Stephanie said I could potentially be scheduled for surgery very quickly, maybe within weeks. Dr. K's office e-mailed me stating they still did not have an update for me. I went ahead and told them I was going to pursue Lap-Band through another physician. Dr. K e-mailed me back personally, and was VERY gracious, stating - Karen, I am sorry we could not get things arranged for you. I think you are an excellent candidate for the lap band and are going to very well. If you ever have any questions or problems, please do not hesitate to contact us. Best of luck. Tim Kuwada

Jennifer, Dr. K's picture is on the previous page of this thread. He's not a hottie, but not hard on the eyes either; kind of the same way I'd describe Dr. V from the picture on that link.

You know ladies, now that you mention it; I've given Dr. Kuwada and staff this web address too. I don't know if they've ever come here or not? I've seen a pic of Dr. B; he is cute. I've never seen a pic of Dr. V.

Melissa, I'm sure she will be fine. Maybe she's just going to be a petite flower Angie, I hope you feel better soon! I'm sure having a tummy bug with the band is no fun. Kim, yes we need to do lunch. Drop me a line at work and let's schedule something next week. I hope Curtis is doing well? Dianne, hang in there lady! We're all pulling for you, and I think you'll do just fine. I don't have anything to report. If I don't hear from Dr. K's office by next Wed. I'll call or drop them another e-mail. That will have been another 4 weeks since last I heard from them. My daughter and son-in-law are buying a house in Stanley. They close on February 24th. We're all very happy and excited for them!

OK ladies, just because we're married doesn't mean we're dead! We can look, even if we can't touch Appreciating a fine looking man doesn't mean I love my wonderful hubbie any less. If this worked, attached is a picture of Dr. Kuwada. He's about 5'6" and slim. I don't find him attractive, but he is pleasant. I like his bedside manner. Just wish he'd hurry up so I can get my band!

Dianne, sounds like things are coming together. I'll be done before you know it. Melissa, great picture! You have a nice looking family! Kim, it's good to hear that your FIL is doing so well! The funeral this afternoon was nice. I think his widow was holding up better than the rest of the congregation, maybe because she watched him suffer over the last two years, and he's at peace now.

Kim, prayers go out to your FIL and whole family. Praise God that he is going to be OK! I'm also praying the truth will come out. You would think that the trooper would take statements from the medic too? Dianne, hang in there lady. You'll have a date soon, and be as good as new ... or actually better! Angie, I'll eat Soup with you Melissa, you're looking great. Please don't sweat a little Water weight gain. Had a good weekend, but a sweet old gentleman in our church went to be with the Lord this weekend. He suffered from congestive heart failure and had been on Oxygen for at least 1 1/2 years. I'll attend his services tomorrow (Tues.) afternoon.

I'm not even banded yet, and I'm willing to join everyone for a bowl of soup too!
