Ok, Time To Haul My @$$ Back In Gear
Past two months have been tough as hell. My whole household got the flu (worst cases I've ever seen!) relay style! And to top it all off two of my children are sicklers and the youngest had to be hospitalized. But all that is behnid me now and the many sleepless nights are over. I have to travel in the next two months and my new major goal is to sit in that planeseat without having to ask for an extra piece of seatbelt! In other words I need to lose at least 20 lbs for that to be possible. Plus it would also mean that I can shop in a smaller size. So that's definite motivation there! I have picked up a few lbs cause this morning I did weigh in at 304.5. But I will not change my ticker cause I know that after the two days of all clear liquids I plan to do this weekend, I will be back to under 300 by Monday. Here's to my shopping trip!

?'s From A New Bandster
As long as you're feeling hungry in between meals and are able to eat like before you were banded... go right ahead and get one. However don't get filled so tightly that your not able to enjoy a small meal of solid foods. It's no fun getting stuck on a regualr basis no matter how much weight your losing! All the best.

Band Vs Diet
B-52 I agree 100%. Anyone can go on a diet and lose a few pounds! Key with the band is as long as you have proper restriction and listen to it, it really takes away the dependency on willpower. The other day I went out to a buffet lunch and filled up my plate like everyone else. When I went back to sit with my friends the thought crossed my mind 'you're not gonna eat all that'. Anyways I proceeded to part take and socialize with my friends and at the end of the day, guess who had to ask for a doggy bag? All plates around me were cleaned over at least twice and I was stuffed with at least half of my plate left. No willpower was involved... I just couldn't eat anymore! I love, love, love this band!

Six Weeks Post Op
U have done great so far. Congrats! I have every bit of confidence that you will be able to reach your goal by then. It gets harder to lose the closer you get to goal so even if you don't, you still have a lot to celebrate. Just think of where your weight might have been now had you not done this. Keep going I know you can do this!

2Nd Month Of The Re-Start Of My Journey..
Two months later I'm still going strong. My ticker is one third of the way to goal so I can't believe I'm only two months back on track. My children broke my scale this week and I can't even begin to explain how over-joyed I was to walk into the store and buy a 'normal digital scale'. Two month's ago I probably woulld have had to fork out more money to get the ones that can weigh more than 330 lbs. Just to encourage anyone who is struggling after having the band for a number of years... after 4 years mine was still there... just get the right adjustment and your head in the game and you will be able to do this. My stats for March 2012 2nd March - 319 9th March - 315 16th March - 310 23rd march - 308 30th March- 306 3rd April - 301 Total - 18 lbs 2nd month! 34 lbs in 2 months 51 lbs since being banded My goal for 3rd May is 286 or 15lbs lost. I continue on my weigh dowm.....

Lost Another 2Lbs
Good for you tracey... I hope everything goes well with you. Follow everything your dr. tells you no matter how you feel! Hunger is a temporary feeling and most importantly it is most times a head feeling. When it comes to putting food in your body from now on, listen to your stomach! And I am feeling much better today... Depression, just like hunger should be temporary... I'm watching it tho' cause I've heard its common. If it continues, I'm the type who doesn't mind sitting infront of a counsellor. No prob about the spelling..lol..l I'm a teacher, I'm used to class clowns. lol Again, All the best!! Keep me posted...

Lost Another 2Lbs
Nothing much to report this week... bit depressed sometimes... don't know why. Slowly but surely coming along... another 2lbs gone this week! A grand total of 46lbs so far... People are really starting to notice the weightloss now, even sitting in my car I receive compliments.lol Earlier this week a friend of mine who saw me about two weeks ago excitedly asked "Where did the rest of you go?". lol And of course the inevitable question of "How are you doing it?!!!" came. I matter-of-factly replied "Eat less and move more"! I continue on my weigh down....

Bmi Below 50! Yaaaay!!!
Thanks!

starting BMI over 50? come on in!
Hey all... nice to have found this area. I was originally banded in 2008 but I depended solely on the band to work for me. I started out with a bmi of over 56 and today I'm down below 50. I have lost 27lbs in the last 7 weeks by getting my head in the game and realising that the band can only help make losing weight even more possible..it can't lose weight for me.

Depressed No Weight Loss For 3 Months Now
Shake up your routine a little. Shock your body! It probably has gotten used to what you've been doing so try something extremely new like liquids (lots!) and increased activity for a few days! All the best...

Too Much Attention And Stranger Rudeness
You're not accountable to anyone but yourself when it comes to your weightloss! You had to eat less and move more. That's the honest truth! If you did not put the effort into achieving your success it would not have been possible. Just look at the numerous person who have not been successful. Hold your head up, look pretty and confident and be proud of the results of your hardwork.. you had to persevere and a great deal of willpower was involved. And you have all rights to put persons who want to compare your beauty between now and then, in their place. People are always gonna make those sort of compliments. For eg. This morning one of my co-workers told me I looked like a put on weight today. So I asked how did I look yesterday? She replied that I looked trimmer. So I said well I guess I put on weight overnight! DUH! My out fit yesterday was just less bulkier than the one I wore today! Just this evening I had to let my two older sons, who were geering at my before picture, know that I was the same mommy they loved then as they do now... they apologised and kissed me afterwards, lol. Congrats... can't wait to have your type of problems lol
