  1. I hope you have fun, and a great run!
  2. I agree with you and the above postings. Once you've made the decision to have WLS it seems like you are catapulted toward your new life and the benefits of weight loss. Best of luck to you, in no time at all you will be on the "loser's bench." A great place to be!
  3. Welcome to this forum! Thinking about the surgery is frightening, but, it sounds like you have done your research so you will be ready March25th.

  7. All your hard work shows in your pictures! Great job!
  8. This is positive news! Thank you for the update, still sending prayers for your recovery. Hopefully your nausea will improve soon.

Loved watching Star Trek- all the different versions of it. I have to agree Spock was one of my favorite characters ( not Kirk). Live long and prosper!
  16. Thanks for all the encouragement. Clothes are definitely loose, and I am wearing some pants I've had packed away for a couple years so.......... I am getting smaller! It just doesn't show up on the scale yet.
  17. Me too! Had surgery 2/3. Haven't lost a pound since 2/17. Kind of disappointing, but I gather from reading posts on here that it will eventually pass.I am getting a little tired of it though. Hopefully yours (and mine) will break soon!
  18. Those are guidelines. For many of us it just can't be done for a while. I am three weeks out and still cannot get 64 oz. of liquid in a day, but everyday I get a little closer to that goal.
  19. Good luck and I hope your recovery goes well.
  20. I think if you remain calmly resolute and remind him that you have done your research, he will realize it is not a debate. Perhaps his comments are masking a greater fear that he won't verbalize. My husband was frightened about my dying during the procedure. Maybe he has similar worries? Or it could be that he is just being a big jerk right now until he gets used to the idea.
  21. You have done well, congratulations.
