I didn't order pancakes.
So why do I have two dinner plate sized pancakes on my chest where my breasts used to be? It is a little disconcerting, but I guess I will just accept it as part of the weight loss process. Eighteen days out- what other surprises await me?

February sleevers
I had my surgery 2/3. I feel great. I am also having some difficulty getting in all the protein and liquids that my bariatric team would like. I started purees a few days ago and that is hit and miss. I have had some very uncomfortable hours with foaming etc. Yesterday I decided I would stick closer to the previous full liquid diet I was on. I am a little cowed by the tiny tyrant (my stomach).

What irritates your sleeve?
I've only been on purees since Tuesday. So far I have tried ground beef with a little gravy, tuna with mayo and tolerated fine. Last night I made Eggface's ricotta bake and had issues. I took small bites, waited 2 min. between bites and decided even before i had finished 1/4 cup that I'd better stop eating. I am not sure what happened, but 1/2 hour later I became uncomfortable had to burp and started "foaming." It lasted about an hour. Sometimes this new stomach scares me.

Rant ????????????
Good for you to have the confidence to confront her attitude with the information you gained from all your research! Well done.

Tomorrow is the day!
Good luck to you and an uncomplicated recovery. I appreciated having my own pajama bottoms, robe and slippers in the hospital.

My story
Congratulations! This will be a great transition to a healthier you!

How old are/were you?
I am 62, just had surgery 2/3. I had thought about it about 10 years ago but the sleeve wasn't as available then. I really didn't like the other WLS options. I have no comorbidities- just 100 lbs to lose! I didn't need it at 22 so I don't know how I would have felt about major surgery at that age. If you feel ready to undertake this after careful consideration, then you should.

February 3rd Sleevers
I will pray for you Jazmundo. Having a feeding tube sounds awful, I hope you can avoid it.You are doing great with your protein intake, so good job there! I am moving on to purees today, sounds like nursing home food, however, my surgeon said I will probably like this phase (I am on it for 3 weeks) as there is more variety and flavor. Best wishes for your appointment today!

Finally joined the forums!
I am sure you will do well. There are quite a few band/sleeve revision people on this forum and they seem to do fine.

Recovery period experience?
I had surgery on Feb. 3rd.I had no issues with gas and had no pain meds after I left the hospital. My stomach muscles were a little sore as if I'd overdone sit-ups. I did have severe nausea that took about 4 days to leave ( I did have to take anti-nausea meds at home). I walked 30 mins every day and felt pretty much "normal"after 5 days. I am really not tired, or weak, in fact I feel very well.

Just bought a size 10 goal pants - am I being unrealistic?
There are quite a few people on this site that have gone below their goal weight and are maintaining that weight. It is great to have that physical object (pants) as a tangible goal to reach for. Good luck!

Booked in for feb 27th in the uk :-)
After the third day the pre-op diet is pretty easy. Try to stay busy the first days. Good luck!

Omg 1 year out with picture!
You have done so well! Great pictures.

Goal weights? And photos for "shorties?!"
I am 5 2 1/2. I would like to be around 130 lbs, however if I get anywhere around 150 or below I will be pleased. My surgeon never set a goal for me but he did say they figure you can expect to lose 65% of your pre-surgery weight. That would be a big disappointment.

God bless all the people having their WLS surgeries this week. I wish you smooth recoveries as well!
