Question about Moderators
LBT is my second home. I come here for help & support. However, whenever Delarla, Lisa Bones or "Fitter" get on here - the entire atmosphere of this place changes. I like Delarla!! From the first time I read one of her posts, I was laughing so hard & couldn't believe the guts this woman had to say the things that she did!! However, she can get real mean sometimes. She likes to point fingers at other people who "follow" her around as she says. But Delarla really knows how to stir the pot. She writes hateful posts saying out right terrible things about people. I can understand why she was banned. When she came back on here & posted about her poor dog that died I thought that perhaps she was coming back peacefully & I was hoping that we'd get to read her funny, intriguing posts again. But, I was wrong. Soon after, there was several threads started by her that caused a war. I didn't see PSusan following her around as she says. I only saw hateful & terrible things said about her. It was very sad. I have no idea if what was said about Penni is true or not. But I do know that this board belongs to Alex & he has the right to do what he wants. I will stand behind any decision he makes. I'm sorry Delarla was banned. However, her posts were just way out of line. I will miss her whit & great threads. I wish her the best.

The "DeLarla's Back" Fun Thread
Hi Kare! This is quite a story. And one that is told over & over again at our family get-togethers. Basically, my car wouldn't go in reverse. I only needed to go a few feet so that I could back out. I figured I would just get out of the car & pull it towards me. So, with the door open, I stood on the ground at the drivers side & pulled the car while holding on to the door & the steering wheel. (Yes, it's a very stupid thing to do.....I get it know!!!!!!!) The car jumped into reverse, knocked me down & ran me over. The car continued to drive itself across the parking lot while I lay on the ground. Somebody saw me & called 911. The police, fire deparment, ambulance, & everyone came to my rescue. The found me lying on the ground in the middle of the parking lot with out a car even remotely close. After figuring out where my car ended up, the first guy asked me - Who's car was it that hit you? I answered - "MINE" They then asked - "Who was the driver?" In a very timid voice I said -"That was ME!" I had all the paramedics in stitches because they couldn't believe I had actually ran myself over with my own car!!! By the way, the car ran over my leg & ankle. My fat legs protected my leg, but I broke my ankle in several places. Once they took me to the hospital the first thing the nurse asked was - "What happened?" The paramedics could hardly keep contain themselves. This was one of the most hilariously, painful ordeals I have ever been in.

Hot dogs?
I have had a very bad experience with hot dogs. HORRIBLE! The skin is like rubber. Rubber & your esphoagus don't get along very well. After 3 days of absolute hell I had to be completely unfilled. My pouch was swollen & I had to be on liquids for a while. If you absolutely HAVE to eat the hot dog, peel off the skin first.

Throwing in the towel
I've been banded a little over a year & have lost 65 lbs. I've been stuck at the same weight for 3 months. I get the shoulder pains when I'm full & HATE THEM!! I am tired of PBing. I can understand & sympathize with all of you. It's pretty crappy. However, I just keep thinking that I chose this & I am NOT going to give up. If the band helped me lose 65 lbs. & now I have to lose the next 30 lbs. by eating diet food, then I'll do it! I am very determined to get there!! I look at this little plateau as my body taking time to get used to the new me. Once it gets used to this weight, the rest of the weight will start to drop off again. I CAN DO THIS!! I CAN DO THIS!! (Stands up on a podium & has a determined looked in her eye) "Everyone say it with me - I CAN DO IT!! I CAN DO IT!!"

Question about Moderators
I think some of these are good questions. I've always wondered if moderators got paid. If not, what keeps them here? It seems to me that it takes up a lot of time & energy. But, for what? Is there a moderator that would be willing to answer some of these questions?

The "DeLarla's Back" Fun Thread
Okay, I've been thinkin' about this & my life isn't as boring as I thought. 1) I ran myself over with my own car & lived to tell about it. (Yes, this is true!!) 2) I have the world's craziest Mother-in-law & yet I bite my tongue every time I'm around her & just put up with her crap to keep the peace. 3) Quit my $3,000/month job to do stay home & do a job that pays squat, but has lots of big rewards. (I'm a full-time Mom now!) 4) I went from a frumpy 260 lb. woman to a sexy lady in 1 yr. :biggrin1: 5) I found an old boyfriend on the internet & was so happy I dumped him. 6) I booked my first cruise for October to celerate our 13th Wedding Anniversary. (Supposed to go on our 10th, but hey...) 7) After 3 yrs. of marriage counseling, my husband & I finally get it!! 8) I purchased my prize posession - my grand piano!! 9) Will be fulfilling a life long dream of writing out all my music & hopefully publishing it. (I bought the VERY EXPENSIVE software & electric piano to finally do it!)

Frustrated and need to talk...
There's always the option to go to Mexico. There are several of us AZ Bandsters who went to MX because of the great doctors there & also so that you don't have to jump through all the insurance hoops. Good luck!!

Life changing event ...
Thank you Elizabeth!! Life is much to precious for us to worry about a comment that just "might" have offended us. I am so glad you lived through your ordeal so that you could come here & teach us all a thing or two. Thanks. We needed that!!
