Hi Guys~ I would like to be involved in some sort of chat. I am around most nights but after 9pm (when the kids go to bed). I had my surgery about 17 months ago at St. Elizabeths Medical Center. I have lost 90 popunds so far. I am having a tummy tuck next Tuesday (YIKES). I need all the support I can get right now !!!

Lets see if we can at least start in a chat room. Hopefully we can eventually work out something were we can get together in person !

Josette~that was absolutely beautiful. I understand your pain, having lost my mom at your age. It is now 8 years later. I can say, although I don't think it gets easier, I know that she has been in my life for that past 8 years and has influenced me in so many ways. Continue to remember the laughter and the good times. I am sorry for your loss. Your mom lives on and you wil soon see that, even in small, subtle ways at first. I will be thinking of you today

I'm a gurgler. Imagine a Poland spring water bottle and what happens when you tap the spout for a drink- the water goes down, bubbles come up. I guess that is what goes on with my pouch/stoma. I was getting my teeth cleaned yesterday and had to keep apologizing to the dentist because I was making all sorts of noises from my throat !!!

It always gets ugly when court/attorneys, etc are involved. try mediation first. How about an agreement of $500/month?? See if you can survive on that. If not, then a judge will have to interevene, and that costs money!!! Good Luck

yes , I have had it 2x since banding. (my fault- I let a too tight fill go to far). Get to an ER and you will feel better as soon as you get some fluid into you. Let us know how it works out~

Thank you thank you thank you. I needed to hear this !!! I am so nervous but now I know it will all be worth it in the end. Should I put off (or not have ) the breast lift? I was thinking of having them done together. My husband says he is happy with them, droopy or not !!!!

Carol-my Dad (he is 70yo) had his surgery in April. He lost 50 pounds and is doing great. He also complains about his "gobbler". I think he looks great no matter what. So happy to hear from other bandsters who LOVE their band. Mine has saved my life. my self esteem, my relationships with others (including my spouse), basically EVERYTHING. Let's hope we all continue on this path to success. I also need a full body lift, but my bank account barely can cover my TT, if insurance denies. I can live with the bat wings, but this gut has got to go !!!!! Have a great day all~

Im pretty afraid too, but I know the pain is temporary. I will take any and all meds that are offerred !!! The surgeon told me "hundreds" of stitches. OUCH. The scar will go from beyond my hips to my back. Now thats attractive

YEAH ! There are a few of us who want to talk about THE BAND. YEAH ! Thanks guys ! I worked so hard the first six months, and now I'm slacking. It is so hard to stay on track. It is taking me another 6 months just to lose 10 pounds. GEEEEEZ I have scheduled a TT. My belly just hangs and it is so unappealing. The final quote I got was $6621. That's everthing. Now I am just waiting to see if insurance will pay. If not, I am still scheduled and will find a way to pay. How is everyone else doing????
