  1. Best of luck. See you on the other side!
  2. Mr Cheese O's Cheese sticks Nuts (single serve packs: pistachios, almonds, etc.) Quest chips Peanut butter Protein bars (quest, power crunch)
  3. How far out are you? What is your protein target? It appears to me that you simple need more protein/calories and water. Can you add a couple of high protein Snacks?
  4. Customer service: fail.
  5. "Should" is not a very good word to use in this instance. Have you taken your measurements? Please keep in mind that clothing sizes are all over the place and not very standard. Plus, based on my observation there is more room between sizes at the higher end of the scale. Cut also has a lot to do with how clothes fit: dresses are more forgiving than clothes that are more form-fitting. I can still wear some clothes that I wore 200 pounds ago (although I probably "shouldn't). I have had to change my bathing suit size much more often. You are losing weight. Just follow your program.
  6. Congratulations! It is interesting how exciting it is to get to add something as simple as a fresh piece of fruit.
  7. I agree. Is it in your plan? Is it allowed during this particular phase? (I also hate the term "cheating". You made a choice. Was it a wise choice?) I was allowed no sugar added applesauce (I got the single serve size) but don't remember if it was allowed during full liquids or soft foods. I hope your NUT/program gave you a food plan. Follow it.
  8. Should is not a great word to use related to weight loss. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience slow downs and stalls. What you "should" do is: Make sure you are getting in enough Protein and Water and following your program. What is your protein target? Are you getting at least that amount of protein every day? Are you drinking AT LEAST 64 oz of Fluid a day. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
  9. It sounds like you need to Increase both your protein and your water. You need protein for healing and weight loss. Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
  10. You will do great. The thing I think that helped me the most was to make a commitment to do everything my team asked me to do, even if I was afraid or thought I couldn't do it. After surgery, the sooner you can get up and walk the better. Sip, sip, sip: getting in all of your Protein and fluids is critical for healing and weight loss. I also decided to only weigh at doctors appointments early out. Staying off the scale can save your sanity. Best of luck and keep us posted on how you are doing. And, Happy Birthday!
  11. This is somewhat of a treat. I personally usually use only seasoning and no condiments. For this occasions where only a burger will do, this is the hack I've found. Maybe an organic ketchup? Best, Sanju Just read labels carefully.
  12. That looks good. The only thing I would worry about is the ketchup (a lot of commercial ketchups have high fructose corn syrup which my surgeon is adamant that we avoid).
  13. It sounds like you have done great, You may need extra Protein to continue to lose since you are healing from surgery and are exercising more. Why not try it to see how it works? As far as my surgeon's recommendations go, 60-70 grams is on the low side. My protein goal is 100 grams.
  14. Welcome! I love cheese, too. Fortunately, it is a great source of Protein.
  15. This is critical information to have.
  16. Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience slowdowns and stall. Just about everyone experiences their first stall about three weeks after surgery. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed. Exercise when cleared. Stay off the scale. And, Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall
  17. I don't know why you couldn't play any sport once your incisions have healed.
  18. We all need AT LEAST 64 oz of Fluid whether we have surgery or not. We do get some fluid from foods, so pre-op you will get some if you are eating a lot of fresh food. Post-op, you will get less from food so you definitely need to stay on top of the water.
  19. I am so sorry to hear this. Did you find a good therapist? Have you found any local recovery meetings (like OA)? Sending hugs.
  20. Why yes I have! (Taking another opportunity to post this...)
  21. Yes, you can. 30 grams in an hour is the upper limit that I was given. Aim for no more than 20-30 grams in one hour. If you make a shake with more than 30 grams, then divide it into 1/2 or 1/3 and spread it out over several hours.
  22. Hey, @@BLERDgirl, great to see you. This is a great example. Plus, the water is a great place to do weight and resistance work, ab work, etc.
