  11. So I am just about a year out since my surgery. Had it on May 23rd of 2016. Far and away I can say this was the BEST decision that I have ever made in my life. My highest weight was 433 lbs with my surgery weight at 397 lbs. Proud to say just about a year after surgery I currently weigh 194 pounds. 203 pounds down since the surgery and 241 down overall. I literally cannot even tell you how much this has changed my life for the better. I am posting this because I want everyone to know that if I did it you can too. If anyone has literally any questions at all for me please don't hesitate to reach out. I

  14. So I am just about 7 months out since my surgery. I can honestly and easily say this surgery was the absolute best decision of my life. My highest weight was 433 lbs and my surgery weight I was 396. I am now down to 230 lbs even with a total weight loss of 203 pounds. Anyone having any doubts about this surgery all I can say is do it!! I was terrified but it was the best thing I've ever done Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. It lasted for me for about 6 weeks. It def gets better though Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. 2 months out from surgery and between surgery and dieting before hand I am down 110 pounds. Still have lots of work to do but feeling amazing. Please if anyone has any doubts or fears don't hesitate to contact me because I felt the same way and put it off for years. You won't regret it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Honeslty it may seem like hell now. But in 2 months you'll be looking back at this saying I would do this 1000 times out of 1000 if I had to again. Fight through the pain future you will look back at this and smile. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. I understand that physically I may have been younger/ in a bit better shape than a lot of people on here but it can be done. I played football my whole life so I have quite a bit of muscle under all my fat. The point is this surgery is a game changer and the toughest part for me which was my eating habits has changed dramatically. I promise you once you really start seeing results the gym can get extremely addicting. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I am 23 years old and I am 6'2My heaviest weight was 455 lbs. I'm currently down to 330. Honestly I just followed my doctors directions to a T from around 3 months before my surgery and up until this very day. The two weeks after surgery I made sure I walked every day as much as I could and once I hit two weeks and was cleared for cardio I ran on the treadmill every day for 40-45 minutes. Now I just get my Protein and Water in. Cardio and running 6x a week for 40-45 minutes and I incorporate weight lifting in 3-4 times a week. I also am an avid basketball player and will play pickup around 3 times a week for an hour or so. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Yeah I had to do a 2 week liquid diet before the surgery. To be honest that was probably the hardest part of the whole thing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. So I am only just under 5 weeks post op and I am loving life. This is easily the best decision I have ever made. I have lost 45 pounds since my surgery on May 23 and lost around 95 overall. I was just offered an amazing job that I truly believe I never would of gotten if not for the surgery. For any people who are skeptical about getting the surgery just know that I sure was and I am so damn glad that I decided to get it. If anyone has any questions at all please do not hesitate to private message me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  23. I am only 10 days out but in a few months I plan on drinking in moderation. (not beer just some liquor and maybe some wine). I didn't have this surgery to completely deprive myself of things I used to and still do love I had this surgery to get my fat butt shape. I will when the timing is right have a slice of pizza again or enjoy a couple of drinks out with friends but it will all be in major moderation. Best of luck in the surgery! 24. You are going to do just fine. I had my surgery 10 days ago and honest to god I am in absolutely zero pain right now. I was just as addicted to food as you are so giving it up was such a tough adjustment and lucky for you, you don't have to do the two week pre op liquid diet which was the toughest part. After the surgery you won't even be physically hungry and you just have to make sure you get your liquids and Protein in. I am around the same age as you I am 23 so I commend you on taking action this early. I've dropped 23 lbs in 10 days and the scale keeps going down. This will be the time that your life is going to truly change for the better. Your kid is going to be so happy to have a healthy parent. Best of luck and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
