A different kind of frozen yogurt...
I had to let it sit out for a little while. While it didn't have the consistency of ice cream or regular frozen yogurt, it worked for me. I guess if I had to describe it, the consistency would be somewhere between ice cream and a Popsicle. I left it in the freezer for 3 hours, that was probably way too long. Next time I'll try just an hour and see how it does.

A different kind of frozen yogurt...
Hey everyone! Well, tonight was craving ice cream sooooo bad. Luckily, I didn't have any in the house. But, I did have some individual containers of WW Amaretto Cheesecake yogurt in the refrigerator, so I decided to put one in the freezer for a few hours just to see what it would taste like. It was very good! It totally calmed my craving! Sometimes I just want a frozen treat, this is a great alternative. Just thought I would share.

Which celebrity do YOU think needs the Lap Band?
I assume you are refering to me, you can correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure who called you a kid.......I sure didn't. I simply stated how I thought the thread came across and I never said anything about kids. Not sure where that came from? The only person I called out was the OP, mainly because I question their intentions about starting this thread. Some of the celebrities that were named were barely overweight, that's where my comments were directed. When someone says Britney Spears need a lap band, I can only assume they are just picking at her because she has gained a little weight. I admit, she's not my favorite celeb, but saying she NEEDS a lap band is just crazy. Sorry you took my comments so personally, but they weren't directed at YOU.

Which celebrity do YOU think needs the Lap Band?
Laurend, don't worry, I don't think anyone is going to yell at you, lol. On the contrary, I think if the comments had been more like yours, there wouldn't have been a big "to-do" over it. Your post actually seems sincere to me. I think the reason people were on defense, is because this thread didn't start out being focused on the health aspect of needing a band. To me, it came across as people trying to make themselves feel better by calling out all celebs that have a little weight to lose and making fun of them (mainly the OP). I've met people before that do this. Perfect example, I had a friend that was obese. She was very self-conscious about herself. Any time we were in public, she would make comments about others that she saw. She would say things like, "OMG, those pants make her look twice as big" or "Her arms are huge", constantly. Somehow, picking people apart made her feel better about herself and it drove me crazy. That's exactly how this thread came across to me. I agree with you, there are some celebrities that would benefit greatly from the band. I just don't think we should have the mind-set that every overweight person needs a band, especially those that only need to lose a few pounds (like some that were mentioned previously). It's a great tool for many, but it's not a good choice for everyone.

All This Free Time! What to do?!
Why don't you try picking up a hobby? Have you ever thought about taking a night class somewhere, like a hobby-type class, such as photography, a cooking class (not implying you can't already cook), or an art class? I have dabbled with painting and some day I would love to take an art class. Cooking is the same, I love to cook and would love to learn more about it. Or, you could just spend all your free time on here like me :rolleyes2:

I am back from my appointment at the OTC. I had a fill of .25cc about two weeks ago and I haven't felt a difference so I decided to go and get another fill. When I got on the scale, it showed I had gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks!!! I was shocked!! I have never had a gain. Elizabeth seemed to think that the antibiotics I have been on could have caused it. I am also expecting TOM in the next few days, so maybe that has something to do with it too. Anyway, I asked her if she would withdraw all my fluid and just check the amount. I sometimes worry I have a leak because all of my fills seem to last only a couple of weeks. I was supposed to have 6.75cc and she withdrew 6.25, which is good. Some can evaporate over time, so she said that was a normal amount to lose. So she put the 6.25 back in and added .5 more, so now I actually have 6.75cc in there. I can already tell a difference. I am having to sip slowly. Hopefully this one will hold for a while. Was anyone there today at about 9:00? I heard someone come in but by the time I got out, I didn't see anyone. They could have been weighing or already in a room.

I pretty much feel the same way you do. Even though I still like him a lot, I thought for sure that Jason was out. I was pretty worried about Brooke last night too. I thought it could have been her who was sent home as well. Poor thing, she was shaking during her performance. I agree with whoever said that the judges have destroyed her confidence. Syesha did so well. I could definitely see her having a future in Broadway. I think if the winner is chosen by talent, David Cook will take the cake. I was a little surprised that he didn't change up the song to fit his style. But, I think it was a wise choice. It definitely showed me that he can really sing. I thought it showcased his vocal ability better than any other song he has performed. Carly can definitely sing, I just think she over does it a lot. Too much shouting for me. I didn't really like her performance. David A, eeeh. It's not that I don't think he can sing, because he can, very well actually. I just don't care for him as a person. Everything about him irritates me. Grrrrr. Okay, I'll stop now.

Which celebrity do YOU think needs the Lap Band?
I definitely think there are obese celebrities that would benefit from having lap band, but it's not my place to pick and chose who needs it. I'm trying to think of this from a personal point of view. How would I feel if someone put my name on a "lap band list"? Any obese person, famous or not, would most likely benefit from lap band. The problem I have is, many of the ones listed would not even come close to qualifying for the surgery and are hardly overweight, which tells me that some people are just being judgmental.

Which celebrity do YOU think needs the Lap Band?
I was thinking the same thing. I love that you brought this up! I wonder if 7 is some one's favorite number? Back to the topic. I just don't understand why anyone would enjoy making a list of celebrities that they think needs lap-band. Who are we to judge? I think it's just rude. How would you feel if you were in a crowded room of strangers and a few of the people decided they would sit in the corner and point out the people who they think needs WLS and word got around that YOU were one of them? I would feel so embarrassed and hurt. Most all of us (as overweight, obese, and morbidly obese people) have been picked at and criticized our entire obese lives, whether we know it or not. I remember that feeling and I don't want anyone else to have to feel that way, whether I know them or not. Just because they are celebrities and we don't know them personally, doesn't make it okay to scrutinize them about their weight. I mean, really....... to sit here and call off people like Britney Spears, Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Hudson, Kimberly Locke.......none of these people would even qualify for lap band! There is a big difference in genuine concern for someone who is obese, and poking fun/gossiping about someone who is a little "thicker" than we think they should be.

Dr. John Bagnato - Bagnato Bandits
Jeannie Everyone knows I had the surgery too. All my family, friends, church family.....everyone. I decided that I wanted to tell everyone because I knew everyone would be asking what I was doing to lose weight, especially since I have so much to lose. I also did it for accountability as well. I know that people are watching me and that keeps me motivated. There have been a few people that I barely know ask what I was doing and I just tell them. I am an open person as well and it just doesn't bother me that people know. But, if I had a job, it might be different. I used to work with some ladies that were big time gossipers/talk about you behind your back kind of people. Honestly, if I stilled worked with them, I probably would not have been so open about it. I guess it all depends on the type of people you are surrounded by. I can totally understand why some people wouldn't want to tell everyone.
