  1. Oh, about the meeting. Sundays are not good for me. We normally do not get out of church until 12:30 or so and I have to be back at 4:30 for choir practice. Since I live an hour away, it's just too much for me. If Sunday is good for most of you, please go ahead and meet. I don't think we will ever pick a day that's good for everyone, so please go ahead and meet if it's good for ya'll. It won't hurt my feelings at all. Maybe we could rotate meetings or something. Maybe a Sunday this month, a Saturday the next month, a Thursday night the next, etc. (You get my drift). What do ya'll think about that?
  2. Hey everyone! I thought I would give ya'll an update on my situation. I went to the doctor again on Friday and he said that my leg was looking really good. I have been sanitizing my house from top to bottom and washing my hands A LOT, lol! I feel much better now, thank all of you for your support and prayers. My shoulder is still bothering me quite a bit though. I'm not sure if the med is helping or not. If it doesn't clear up, I will have to get an X-RAY and possibly go through physical therapy again. I went through it several years ago (I had a spur on my shoulder and had to do physical therapy and cortisone shots). I am hoping I don't have to go through all that again. All in all, I'm feeling so much better. I will start working out again on Monday (just cardio, no strength training for now). Again, thanks for your support, it is much appreciated!
  3. Hello Sooverit. I am really sorry that you were denied coverage. That sucks, especially since you have put a 1&1/2 years into this. Is the lapband out of picture for you now, or is there any way you can go the route of self pay or get a loan? Sorry this happened to you and I wish you the best! PS, I am sorry about your sister. I hope and pray you can find a way to make this happen.

  20. Thanks for the tip Jeannie! I will be sure to use bleach. Didn't mean to scare ya'll. I've been doing the same thing, I bet I've washed my hands 6 times already today. Thanks for the cyber hug. My spirits are up a little today. I could definitely see myself becoming a germaphobic after this.
  21. Yay Ali!!!! I'm so glad she won. I really thought Roger was going to win though. Everyone looked great. I'm already ready for next season to begin!
  22. They have to because I must have heard something different than them. You all know, I love David Cook, but I really didn't think he did very well last night. What I could here of it, sounded really pitchy to me, especially the beginning. There must be a difference in what they hear and what we hear. All in all, I was impressed last night. Kristie is getting better and better each week. I thought she did pretty good. Jason Castro did really well too! Syesha is definitely a chameleon. To me, she doesn't have any originality. She tries to sound too much like the artist featured every week and she doesn't put her own spin on the songs. I guess she's not as "identifiable" (as the judges say) as the rest of them. David Archuletta, well I wasn't fond of his performance. Technically, he did okay, but I just don't buy into him. He's no idiot though, his cheesy song choices appeal to the young girls and he knows it. Carly did okay, I just can't get past her facial expressions, it's so over the top. She can definitely sing, she's just not one of my favorites. Brooke's performance wasn't that great either. Towards the end, she got ahead of the music, but she pulled it back together. I felt like she was really nervous too, I could hear it in her voice. I still like Brooke because she is original. I hope she stays in the competition. I hope Syesha leaves this week, but who knows, last week was a total shocker!
  23. I didn't do very well yesterday and I probably won't be doing very good today either. Today is my birthday and my DH wants to get an ice cream cake to Celebrate. So I'm definitely going to have a piece. I'll be glad when I can start working out again, that way, the bad days won't be so bad. Oh, I found out that DH is getting me a bodybugg for my birthday. I am really excited about that. I've been wanting one since I got banded and we just haven't had the money to get it. I'm going to have to wait until next month to get it, but it will be worth it.
  24. Thanks everyone for your kind words and support. I really don't know what I would do without you guys. Brina- You never cease to amaze me. Here I am feeling depressed and you manage to make me laugh. Thank you, I really needed it. My doc did not prescribe any pain meds. I've been taking 600 mg of Motrin 4 times a day. Honestly, I do not like the way prescription pain meds make me feel. They make me feel pretty loopy. I probably wouldn't have taken them anyway if he had prescribed them. I take care of my son all day long and especially don't like taking them with him around. Thanks again everyone.
  25. Hello everyone! I went back to the doctor today and my culture came back saying I have MRSA staph. It's not the news I wanted to hear. Honestly, it really scares me. The antibiotic that I had been taking since last Thursday is resistant to MRSA, so they put me on a different one that will hopefully take care of this infection. Ya'll please don't think I'm being crazy or over dramatic, but this has really got me down. I am so worried that my son (2 yrs old) will catch this, and in children, MRSA can be fatal. I'm doing everything possible to keep from spreading it. There is no telling where I got this from. Places like the gym, Walmart (buggies especially) are places that are prone to carry this bacteria. It really wouldn't surprise me if it came from Walmart or the gym because I spend a lot of time there. So make sure you guys are washing your hands after touching a shopping cart or working out at the gym. In the nose is where most people carry this bacteria, so something as minor as scratching your nose can make you get it. Many people "carry" MRSA and never know it until they get a cut or scrape that can easily become infected. I'm not trying to scare ya'll, but just be careful. This has caused me a lot of pain, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Apparently I have also pulled a muscle in my shoulder and neck area, so that's another thing that has me in pain. The doctor did prescribe me a muscle relaxer, but so far, I haven't been able to tell any difference. I'm really not sure why this has gotten me so down, but I'm starting to feel depressed. Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers you have already sent my way, it's much appreciated.
