  1. tootie~ WTG on week 3!! Keep up the good work! Whoysa~ Good luck in the Triathlon tomorrow! I know you will do GREAT! I agree with Kathy...make sure you post pics, okay! Kathy~ I go to the YMCA and do the machines there. They have a machine for just about everything. I may have to check that book out as well. Thanks Whosya!
  2. LOL. I felt the same way about the girl who's song was Ice, Ice Baby! I found a video of your song and it's weird, it has no words, just music. Anyway, here's the link if anyone wants to watch it --> YouTube - Henry Mancini - Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet
  3. I am happy to report that my knee is fine today. It's a little stiff, but that's it. This is the first time I haven't been in pain the day after a run since my injury. I'm excited and hopeful that I can run tomorrow. Everyone is doing great!!
  4. This is an old thread, lol. Kinda cool though. Mine was "Call Me" by Blondie I couldn't get the link from the first page to pull up, so I found a website that does the same thing. Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out --> #1 Song on This Date in History BTW, I was 10 when "Ice, Ice Baby" was #1. I knew every word to that song, lol. STOP, collaborate and listen.... (hehe, good times)
  5. I've never had the powder form, but I have had the pre-made muscle milk and it was DISGUSTING! Yuck, Yuck, Yuck!! It could have been so nasty because it was the "light" kind. I dunno, but I definitely wouldn't recommend those. Good luck!
  6. Thanks everyone! I feel soooo revived! Jeannie~ 1&1/2 hours is fantastic! WTG!! Mamato~ Sending you BIG hugs! Sorry ya'll are having such a rough time. I'm glad your hubby felt better today though. Maybe he'll get to come home soon. Take care and keep us updated. Renewed~ Aww, the special girls night out sounded like sooo much fun. I'm soooo glad ya'll had a good time. You're right not to worry about your calories. If I know you (and I think I do, lol) you will back on track tomorrow and hitting it hard. What a wonderful memory for both of you. Sending you BIG hugs too!
  7. ((big hugs BBK)) I'm so sorry! What an ordeal you have been though. I hope it was caught in time. Take it easy and get some rest hun.
  8. Okay, so I went to the gym, and I couldn't stand it.....I ran. I did another day of week 3. It went really good. Finished the whole thing this time. I feel soooo good! I needed a really good workout!
  9. I just want to say that everyone here is doing sooo good! All of you inspire me! Whosya and Renewed~ you two ROCK!! Ya'll are my little running heros, lol! Kathy~ you are progressing soooo well! Keep it up girl! Oh, and kudos for sticking to the scale challenge. That's what I call dedication!! luluc~ I love reading your post, here and all over the board. Your exercise regime just baffles me. Les~ you are doing great too! Good for you for getting back on track and starting over fresh! Jeannie~ look at you progressing! Good for you! As far as your questions go, I agree with everything Renewed said. I always eat a healthy carb before I run (usually whole wheat triscuits or protein cereal mixed with yogurt) and I also drink milk afterwards. Sugar~ I know how you feel. I haven't ran either, gotta get my butt in gear! How's your legs? Bonnie~ you are doing soooo good! I still want to commend you for doing this now and not waiting until your surgery. I think that says a lot about you. Keep up the great work girl! Lyn~ You amaze me! Only a couple of weeks out of surgery and you were running again. I could not have done that. Keep up the good work! Oh, and thanks for the "two" breathing suggestion...I gotta try that! tootie~ you're doing great!! Keep up the wonderful work! Serenity~ you're doing an awesome job! Keep on truckin'! Mamato~ How are you? I've been thinking about you and praying for you and your hubby. All of you have inspired me to get off my pity party butt and do something today. I've been soooo bummed about my knee (which feels better again), I've gotten off track. I've had some other health issues going on too, one of them being I have a staff infection under my right arm. For the past week, any movement with my upper body has been painful. I'm on antibiotics and feeling much better now. So, I'm gonna quit moping around and go to the gym tonight. If nothing else, I'll ride the bike. Something is better than nothing!! So, thank you all for inspiring me to get back on track!

Congratulations on your surgery date!!! Sorry to hear about your aunt. Take care.
  11. Oh no! BBK, so sorry you are going through this. I know you are probably worried sick. Hang in there BBK. You are in my prayers today.
  12. BBK, sorry to hear about your pain and the choking. I truly hope it gets better soon. Take care and try to get some rest. Feel better soon.
  13. This sounds good! Thanks for sharing Bozzj!
  14. I use Swanson most of the time. If you don't like canned chicken, you can always cook the chicken yourself and chop it up. It's a Crockpot Meatloaf and it's sooooo good. Here's the link to the recipe --> http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f82/smothered-crockpot-meatloaf-71773/ Enjoy!
  15. Hi rondawood63! Sorry you are going to have to have another surgery. How did you know you had a twisted tube? Did you have any symptoms or pain? Good luck with your surgery and take care.
  16. Hey luluc! Sorry it took so long to reply. I haven't checked this thread in sooo long. My veggie kick didn't last that long, lol. Well, it lasted a little over a month. Even though I am eating some meat now, I don't eat near as much as I used to. I think all the years of low carbing and eating so much meat just turned me off from it for a while. Well, did you and DH do the meat fast?
  17. I think you are right. I've heard that as well and mine has been a bit dark lately. I think by increasing my water, it will help my weight loss too...I hope!
  18. Pretty cool. Here's what mine said: 134 ounces of Water today, or 4 liters. If you eat a healthy diet, about 20 percent of your water may come from the foods you eat. If you eat a healthy diet you can drink 107.2 ounces of water today, or 3.2 liters. I know I haven't been having nearly enough. That's a lot of water.
  19. Mamato, I'm so sorry about your husband. Looks like ya'll have a pretty long and rough road ahead of you. I'm praying your husband gets better soon and praying for stregnth for you in taking care of him and the kids. ((big hugs)).
  20. Frustrated~ I like almonds in mine too. I've tried dried cranberries and they're good too. I haven't thought about pineapple though....I bet that's really good. I'll have to give it a try!
  21. LOL, Jo Anne! I'm glad you liked the recipes, but I don't think I would be very good writing a cook book. I just love to play around with food. Sometimes my "playing around" turns out pretty bad....just ask my hubby, lol. If I make something that turns out bad, I usually play with it until it's good. I can't leave it alone! I guess it's the perfectionist in me, lol.
  22. I'll join the challenge! I certainly need to be drinking more water! Lately I haven't been very good about it.
  23. I'm so sorry BBK. I know you are beyond upset, I know I would be! ((HUGS)) Praying that everything goes well tomorrow.
  24. Thanks areellady! I took both pills this morning they went down fine. I'm still getting a slight burning sensation in my chest, but it only lasted about 30 minutes. I suppose it could be the medicine itself causing the burn. It's a relief that they went down because there's no way I could mix the powder in my food again....UGH, so nasty!
