  2. Jeannie, Wow, only 2 weeks away from getting the band! Have you found the Sugar Buster Diet pretty easy to follow? I have had such a great experience with Dr. Bagnato's office and I really like the nurse at the Obesity Clinic who did my fill. She was great about answering any questions I had and taking up a lot of time talking with me about how things are going. Keep up the good work!
  3. Renewedhope, Congrats on the adoption and getting such a little one. I can tell that you have a passion for children and that's wonderful. You're going to be fine, I can't imagine having two that small. Enjoy it while you can, they grow up sooo fast. Cangratulations again and Good Luck!
  4. Wow, I'm laughing my head off... this is the funniest thread I've ever read. But on a serious note, what do you think about onions... they make me gag!!!
  5. I watch Hannah Montana and High School Musical all the time... and I don't even have a daughter. How embarassing is that??????
  6. My doctor suggested to use a small childrens plate,as mentioned above, and to use a baby fork and spoon, when at home, to help me remember to take smaller bites. Good luck!
  7. Hi everyone! I had my first fill today and things went great. The nurse said I was doing very well. I've lost a total of 38.5 lbs. I have a 10cc band and she only put 2cc's in it. She said she likes to start out with a small amount and evaluate every two week to see if I need an adjustment. The fill was slightly painful but not too terribly bad. I'm excited to get to start eating solids in a few days (I'm on liquids for 3 days and then I'll progress to solids). Thanks everyone for all the support.
  8. Yep, "Friends" is my all time favorite tv show ever. No matter how many times i watch it , it never gets old. As I said, I'm a little ashamed about the soap operas, but oh well.
  9. Definitely chapstick. My lips were so dry after the surgery. Luckily a friend had already told me to bring it so i was prepared. Good Luck!
  10. Way to go!! I can't wait to get to the point you're at!! Keep up the good work!
  11. Okay, here it goes: 1. My husband is the only guy I've ever dated (started dating when I was 14, he was 17 and we married when I was 19) 2. My DH and I made out at Disney World on "It's a small world" ride while we were on a high school choir trip. 3. I love to sing 4. I like to paint trees 5. I've never colored my hair 6. Life-size Barbies freak me out, seriously... scares me to death (had a nightmare once that one was trying to kill me) 7. I'm a reality tv junkie - I watch American Idol religously 8. Ashamed to say I like soap operas (General Hospital and Days of Our Lives) 9. I have all 10 seasons of "Friends" and I have watched all 10 seasons at least 20 times. (How YOU doin....) love that Joey!
  12. Hi Buttercup76, Congrats on the pre-op appt next week!! Let us know how it goes and what your surgery date is. Good luck!!
  13. Hi Renewedhope! I'm glad your appt went well. Looks like your recovery is going great. That first bite of mushies is sooo good, isn't it. I can't wait to kick PCOS's butt too!!!!! LOL!!! Keep in touch!
  14. Hi Jeannie! Your surgery date is getting close. I can tell you're excited. How's the pre-op diet going? I'm a little nervous about the fill, hope it doesn't hurt much. Good luck at the pre-op appt and I'll let you know how the fill goes. God bless!
  15. Renewedhope, I'm so glad to hear your doing well. Glad to hear the pounds are dropping, but don't get discouraged if the scales go up or don't go down when you start mushies. Mine went up a little for a coulple of weeks but came back down when i started exercising regularly. I get my fill in 2 days, whooohoooo!!!!! Good luck at your appt and let us know how everything is going. Pamela
  16. No way!!!! Your pictures give me hope. I remember when i was just lurking around on this website, before I even joined, I saw your pictures and I was sooo inspired. Your before picture is very similar to what my body looks like now. I think you are fabulous and if other people are jealous of your sucess, they should be ashamed!!! We're all here to support each other!!
  17. Renewedhope, just checking to see how it's going. How's your port incision? Hope you're doing well.
  18. Congratulations Speechpath!!!! 16 pounds is awesome!!!!! The same thing happened with one of my incisions. Keep up the great work. Welcome Shannon and 4jin!! Good luck to both of you on your lapband journey!!
  19. Had no clue what T-Tapp was. I had to look it up on the net. It seems similar to yoga. I'm not sure that i could bend like that right now, but maybe after i lose more weight.
  20. God bless, and I pray everything works out for you.
  21. Hey, it's Georgia Girl. I just got finished reading your reply on my thread. Congrats on the surgery coming up. I didn't do a liquid diet, my doctor put me on the Sugar Busters Diet for 2 weeks. I don't think I would have made it on a liquid diet. LOL. But for only 3 days, that not so bad. Good luck.
  22. Hi Sunshiny, I know how you feel. It took me and hubby 6 years to finally get pregnant. Someone on LBtalk told me that after a 50 lb weight loss you start ovulating. I really it hope everything works out for you. Nov. 15th will be here before ya know it. God bless
