  1. Thanks for the suggestion. Does it have under-wire?
  2. Unfortunately there are no outlet malls close by. That's one of the disadvantages of living in a small town. There is a shopping mall that is about an hour away. They have a Belks, Sears, JC Penney, Lane Bryant, and Dillards. Hopefully I will be able to find something that will work at one these stores. I haven't been bra shopping in forever, it's too depressing. Right now I'm still wearing the one that I was wearing 50 lbs ago, it's in sad, sad shape. I guess I should be excited but I hate bra shopping.
  3. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I've found that the ones with no padding tend to make them look a little pointy (I know, TMI). Anyone else have any recommendations?
  4. Thanks Laurend! I love chai tea so I probably would like it. I found some for $7.95 for 50 tea bags Comfort and Joy Tea Holiday Spice Blend, Republic of Tea - 50 Tea Bags Cinnamon and apples are in it and it sounds really good.
  5. Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm on a budget and can't spend a whole lot of money on one.
  6. Hi Ladies, I need some serious help with the girls. I can't find a good bra that will hold them up good. Right now I'm in a size 42 DD. I absolutely hate under-wire bras, they are so uncomfortable. I need a supportive bra that will lift, since the girls have decided to go south. What kind of bra would you recommend?
  7. Way to go girl! I started out exercising really good, but since the holidays I just haven't been motivated. I've got to get back on track. I even got an elliptical after Thanksgiving, I think I've used it about 5 times . Great NSV! Keep up the great work!
  8. Congrats on your weight loss! Feels good doesn't it? Keep up the good work.
  9. Sorry to hear that. Will you have to use the same Protein shakes after surgery too? I used Pro Performance Whey Protein powder (chocolate caramel) and mixed it with skim milk. I found that is wasn't as lumpy and thick as some of the others I tried.
  10. What have you been eating? Are you exercising? Is it possible that you may need a fill? Sorry for so many questions, just trying to see if I can help you figure this out.
  11. Everyone has different tastes, but I stuck with Protein shakes and Soup on the liquid phase. Those would be pretty easy to make at work. I'm not sure what you are allowed, but on my full liquid stage, I was allowed yogurt, SF puddings, soupy grits and oatmeal, and creamed Soups. It all depends on what your surgeon allows. Good luck at work next week, hope it goes well for you.
  12. Sorry to hear that. Hang in there, maybe the time will pass quickly. Good luck to you and hope everything goes well for you.
  13. Good luck at the seminar and let us know how it goes.
  14. What are you allowed to have next week? liquids? Mushies?
  15. Hi Welcome back! Glad to hear you are starting the journey. How far into the process are you? Have you met with a doctor yet?
  16. I know how you feel. It's when you can't eat food that you realize how "food centered" this country has become, not to mention how we have become a fast food nation. I think, for me, not eating fast food is the hardest thing. I was a fast food junkie and I'll probably always struggle with this. Hang in there, it does get better. Thing are going great for me. The weight is starting to come off a lot slower now, but I was prepared for that. So far I haven't had any complications and hopefully it will stay that way.
  17. Good luck to you, I love both him and his dad on the show. They seem to care a lot about their patients. It comes on The Learning Channel (TLC). It's a really good show. They perform gastric bypass and lapband. I don't remember when it comes on, I have my DVR set up to record the new shows.
  18. Hey Sharona! Congrats on starting the process of changing your life! I was banded 9-20-07 and I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal. I had my surgery in less than a month after beginning my process. I read all the stories of those who had to do the supervised diet and had wait for months to get surgery, and I realize how fortunate I was to have such good insurance. Good luck to you and let us know how it goes!
  19. Hey Big-D! I'm glad your surgery went well. Band slippage is more rare than a lot of people think, but it still can happen to the best of bandsters. Just be very careful and follow your surgeons instructions, and hopefully you will heal well with no problems. Nice to meet you and good luck to you!
  20. Hi MsTaylor! Welcome and congratulations on your weight loss :clap2: Sorry you are having a hard time with the weight loss right now. I think we will always struggle with this, or at least at some point. It really is a lifestyle change, and sometimes we will fall off the wagon. We just have to pick ourselves up and get back on. It is nice to meet you and I hope things work out for you. Good luck with the plastic surgery.
  21. Hi Chilly! Welcome to LBT! I was banded 9-20-07 and I haven't had any problems yet. I'm still fairly new but I will answer any questions that I can. My husband really doesn't understand why I need this site, but he really doesn't understand what I'm going through. It's so good to talk with people who are going through the same things. Don't get me wrong, he is very supportive, but it is a different kind of support that I get from this site. Do you have any idea when you will be getting banded or starting a pre-op diet? Hope things work out well for you.
  22. Hi and welcome to the site! This site has a ton of great info. I'm totally addicted. lol. It is nice to meet you and good luck to you. How are you doing since surgery?
  23. Thanks buttercup! Hope you have a happy new year too!
  24. You guys look friggin fabulous! What an inspiration!
