HI! I am a 36 yr. old mother of 2 from New York State. My lap-band doctor is Dr. Forbes from Buffalo General Hosp. I am just starting the journey like most of you. I was looking for a site that I could use to talk about things that might/will come up that friends/family don't understand.

Hi Chilly!

Welcome to LBT! I was banded 9-20-07 and I haven't had any problems yet. I'm still fairly new but I will answer any questions that I can.

My husband really doesn't understand why I need this site, but he really doesn't understand what I'm going through. It's so good to talk with people who are going through the same things. Don't get me wrong, he is very supportive, but it is a different kind of support that I get from this site.

Do you have any idea when you will be getting banded or starting a pre-op diet?

Im also from Buffalo and just turned in my paper work with Dr Forbes. I would love to ask you a few questions if you don't mind. Like how long did it take for you to get a call and how long was it between then and your scheduled surgery. Any info would be greatly appreciated
