  1. Hey Tammy, I will answer any questions that I can to help. As for the kitty, mine, well...it sagged and was so fatty. With the TT it is inevitable that it gets pulled higher, but I specifically asked my PS to pull her all the way up, I didnt care if my bikini line ended up at my throat . Anyway yep he did give her a rather nice lift hence the extreme swelling to my mound which will last for a few months yet, but how do I say it...hmmm, ummm it hasnt been that high in yrs and for the first time my girlie sensitive part actually isnt buried if you know what I mean. I know that might offend some that is why I tried to think of the nicest way to put it. Please excuse me if it has offended some. Tammy - Be excited!!!!!!!!! If you want to talk about any of it I am happy too. Hugs
  2. I dont know how relevant this is because I am in Aussie but I am on Omperazone(sp) and it costs me about $28.00 a month. I havent had relux since I have been on it about 5 months and I had it pretty bad. Good Luck
  3. My Dr told me I would still be bale to breastfeed after the lift but I am with jacqui...my boobs were huge when I was pregnant and breastfeeding which bought alot of stretchmarks. When I was finished and they shrunk again boy oh boy they were like footy socks on my chest...udders actually. So I wouldnt go through the money etc and have it done and then have them wrecked with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Wait till you are completely finished and go for it then!!! I have 4 kids and I know I am definately finished Good Luck with whatever you decide....any questions on the lift just send me a PM
  4. Has happened several times here. I ring him and insist he bring them home. I dont care how he does it, just get them back to me. I have 4 kids...3 of them have to get to school and be picked up. I know how you feel, as much as I know he doesnt do it on purpose it makes me sooooo angry.
  5. Lol Jacqui, my whole life I have never had boobs that arent saggy with huge areolas, so yes i keep taking my bra off and looking at them in the mirror. I went into the bedroom last night to have another look and Paul had put a huge picture that I couldnt lift in front of the mirror. I called out to him and asked him why it was there and could he move it. He said he just want to see what I would do if I couldnt look at myself for 5 minutes hehe . All I hoped going into this was improvement, the life changing I feel just from not having a belly over my thighs is...well I cant think of the words. I know when I was researching this I wished I could find more pictures of "real" people that had it done instead of touched up surgeon pics...so I promised myself that when I had mine done no matter how embaressing it was I would share my pics with people who wanted to have it done. It has been sorta humiliating everytime I come to this thread and I know those pics are there, but I just try not to think about it and think of the ppl that they are helping. Love you guys, you know how to make a girl feel special!!
  6. I remember asking the exact same question. I have the big VG band and I was getting fill after fill wondering when I was ever going to find decent restriction and how would I know if I had it and when to stop. Well my opinion is you will know, you cant miss it. You will eat small quantities and be satisfied with it for 4 or so hours. Food will no longer be on your mind all the time. Dont get me wrong at times I still struggle...with things like chocolate. It doesnt matter how tight you get you will always be able to eat as much chocolate ice cream etc as you want, so it take a little will power but....when you hit your sweet spot it is so much easier. You will know when you get there. I found mine on my 9th fill, each fill before that I would feel nothing, or only feel restricted a week or 2 before it waned. On the last fill I had the sweet restriction and it lasted. I am now 5 mths since my last fill and still have restriction. Good Luck
  7. Hi Tammy, I am in Australia and I didnt have any insurance cover. It was $27 000 for everything including private hospital. I too am a big chicken, but in the weeks leading up to surgery I did a mind over matter thing. I have wanted this for so long that I think when I came out of surgery and seen my pinny for the first time I was just so excited I didnt feel the full extent of the pain. I mean, it really is only a day or so of real pain before its not even a big deal...get through that and you will be amazed. I still cant believe it. I know I dont have a flat tummy, but after losing the last of my kgs I think it will be pretty flat, just the fact my tummy isnt to my knees and my boobies arent to my belly is hugeeee in itself. I am so excited...can you tell?? :)
  8. Day 12 Post op update. I am feeling almost back to myself now. I went out for lunch and shopping today. I did fine except.... I had to keep pulling my jeans up because they are too big I didnt have enough money to buy a new wardrobe and the swelling tonight is killing me...I am huge!!! The bruising is healing nicely and I am doing most things except bending to the ground. Here is a few more pics...please dont look if nudity offends. Thanks
  9. Thats great news, its wonderful to hear a story like that.
  10. I was just thinking even if the band is not permanant, but say will help you lose all your weight and keep it off for many years to come, wouldnt it be better than having your insides cut and re routed and then if there is a problem what are you going to do? There is no going back. Id take the less permanant route and work with it as much as I could rather than something I could NEVER change or go back on...That is just too scary a thought for me. I do have to disagree with one statement though. After 10 yrs shouldnt we have learnt how to eat etc enough to keep the weight off without the band?? Well my answer to that one and just my opinion is NO. It is not about how to eat or anything. To me the band limits how much I eat. It makes me feel full quicker and longer. Without the band to stop me I would eat. You wouldnt be able to help it because you would be hungry sooo much more without the band. I do not think it is as easy as learning the right way to eat and then maintaining that without the band because without the band you are going to go back to having a much larger appetite than you did with the band.
  11. I am not saying what is the best thing for anybody else but myself. I did not want to permanately re route my insides or risk malnourishment etc. The band for me was minimally invasive, totally reversible and relatively minor surgery. That in itself made my decision for me. As much as we all wish the weight would fall off us, I sat down and thought did I want the weight to fall of me in an unhealthy way or would I like to lose it a slower more healthy way. Thats another reason I chose the band. Ultimately it is your decision and you have to decide what you are comfortable/happy living with. The mortality rates alone are a big influence in themselves comparing the band surgery to the RNY. Good Luck and only you can make the right decision for YOU.
  12. Awww Jess, that is the cutest puppy I have ever seen. I am not allowed to have a dog, Paul wont let me
  13. I am getting about $1500 back from medicare out of $27 000. My Dr said that if you have private cover, he would get as much as he could covered for you by way of back troubles, rashes etc for your tummy and similiar for a reduction.
  14. I had my lift 2 weeks ago and my nipples are still numb but I will let you know if I start getting some feeling back. My Dr said if my nipples are overly sensitive to start with I probably wouldnt lose sensation, but if they didnt have much sensitivity to them from breastfeeding etc you were more likely to lose the sensation...which is me. But I will wait and see and let you know.
  15. I had a full TT, breast lift and lipo done a couple of weeks ago. I paid $27000 all up. I will get a little back, around $1500 from Medicare.
  16. I developed that after my 6th fill. I am on Omperazone or something like that now and havent had the heartburn or reflux since I started on it 5 mths ago. Good Luck
  17. Wow, thats great news. It must be such a relief for you. I too am shocked about the Dr not filling you past 2.8. I am 9.6mls in my 10ml band and he said if I need to we can go to 12ml in my band safely...so stopping at just over half way full is bizaare. Anyway, all that aside youre going to back on the losing side with this Dr. Good Luck
  18. Your post made me smile too. I am so happy for you.
  19. Hey Kat, Yes they use your excess skin and fat and mould it over and over to build them up and shape them. They feel very real because they are, its just your skin and fat moulded. Yes you can still breastfeed and if you have one bigger than the other they can just remove more from the bigger one. Its amazing what they can do. As for pain I dont know if it is because they lipo knocked me around more or what, but honestly the lift was nothing to me...it only felt like when your milk comes in, that tight uncomfortable feeling when breastfeeding. No pain, just discomfort.
  20. Wanted to add that the lift on the boobs is just a lollypop cut too, not an anchor which is even better scar and pain wise.
  21. Lianna, My boobs were really bad, I mean they hung and my nipples pointed downwards. When I went for my consult he told me I had enough breast tissue to mould and lift without implants, so I went that way instead of paying the extra few thousad for implants. I wouldnt have even considered implants if I had of known what he would do for me. He is amazing. I have never had boobs like this, not even when I was young. As for the thighs, I had no lipo but with the extended TT he pulled the tops of the thighs up and my pinny which makes them look a smidgen better by stretching out the yucky skin. I am so swollen today, like 9 mths preggy swollen. Thanks for the thoughts, and remember a TT is best done about 15kgs from goal, after they take all the extra skin and lipo etc you will just about be at goal. Good Luck
  22. I hope you have a great day and many more!!!
  23. Happy Birthday to a VERY caring person. I hope you have a great day, you deserve it. Hugs
  24. Hey everyone, Thanks for the compliments and well wishes. As for the port he said he had no probs with it. He left it where it was and just went along. He said he couldnt pull the skin down as tight as he would have liked because of it but it didnt make much difference. I had some stiches out of my back and belly button yesterday. My belly button looks like an outtie. I have always had a big ol hole for a BB so it is quite exciting to me. I will put some pics up in a few hours for comparison. I am feeling worse today than any other day tired wise and achy wise. I am not in pain just aching. Its a long road to recovery with this op. Thanks again
