I just wanted to say I was feeling exactly the same way. I have the big band and it took 5 months and 9 fills for me to reach decent restriction. Before that my weight loss was pathetic, once I got the restriction the weight started coming off. I dont think 4 months is nearly long enough to decide whether this is going to work for you, and 2 fills, well you would have to be one of those lucky people that find restriction pretty quickly. Give yourself a chance, like I said I was getting really frustrated after 9 fills, but it does happen. It may be your next fill or 2 more fills later buit it will happen.

I have been banded for 12 months now and had good restriction from about 5 months out. I havent had a fill in about 5 months and my restriction changes on a daily basis. At least once a week I think I need to go for a fill because I can eat so much and things I usually cant eat, then the next day I have trouble with even soft things. Its completely normal and thats why the band to me is known as the "finicky bitch". You never know what mood she is going to be in when you wake up, just take it one meal at a time.

If you are faced with that question, smile your sweetest smile and say "at least it is a way out." Perfect yet again Vines, I love it!

Jess.. I was thinking the same thing with my port. It is alot deeper now, used to be close to the top of the skin. Not sure if I can get to Canberra before the wedding, but if you can get here in Spetember come to the wedding and we can finally meet, plus about 10 or so bandster friends are coming. You can meet them too.

I started at pretty much the same weight as you and had trouble getting to a fill amount with good restrictio. 9 fills and about 5 mths out I was on my way. I have lost slowly and sporadically but when I look at the big picture it ended up being 70lbs just on my 1 yr anniversary last week. Holy Crap Jess!!!!!! Those results are amazing, you have gotten so skinny, it has been ages since you posted updated pics. You would have to consider yourself at goal now?? You look absolutely gorgeous. I cant believe those results, absolute flatness. Hugsssss

I would get a fair few for my banded friends over here in Australia...banded and beautiful...I love it.

I am exactly the same, I know its not mental because there are things I can eat at night that I normally cant eat at other times...so that proves to me I am more open at night. Even with all that said I still think your mental tho haha just kiddin

Hey, You are doing awesome!!! Great weight loss...as for the fill I have never even felt anything but pressure but mine is(was) so close to the surface it was easy to get to. I am a little worried after the TT though, it is much lower than it was and buried more. Oh well after what I have been through lately a little fill should be a walk in the park Congrats again.

WOW, Thats awesome!!! Sometimes when the scale isnt moving measure and you will see that you are actually losing inches. Congrats and great WOW moment.

Mary, Im in Aussie Land, so yep definately different sides of the world...as for sick of pain, nope...I seriously am getting the cosmetic tattooing done in the upper and lower eyelids. Check out the above pic I have practically no eyelashes and they do this technique which makes it look like you have. I am doing all this, well it started out because I am getting married in September, now it is because I like it, but I am still using the excuse to paul that its because we are getting married and he is not minding(that much) when I say its for that reason. After the wedding I will have to think of another excuse hahaha Woah I just seen your weight, wow I can only dream of 158lbs...awesome job!!!! As for the think about the go to sleep and wake up gorgeous, I have dreamt that dream for the last 15 yrs...unfortunately you can only go under anaesetic(sp) for so long so I dont think an entire body overhaul is safe hehe, although extreme makeover seems to be able to manage it. That would be awesome to get on that show.

Annette, I am not really sore at all anymore. An occasional twang and thats all. I am back to doing everything I was before besides hanging clothes out because I am going to push that as long as I can...I hate it!!! Other than that I am fine. Good Luck

Hey Mary, Summer is just ending here, its really starting to cool down. I have to wait till about November now till the warmer weather starts back up again.

Well guys its nearly 1 am here so excuse the messy hair and yucky pic, this is as good as I could get by myself. Notice crows feet, middle of nose and lift in eyebrows. I will get Paul to take a better one in the morning.

Hey Wheetsin, I did not feel the injections in the crows feet, I only felt the ones on the brow...they hurt like a normal shot, a bit of a sting then it was over. My forehead has had a dull ache all night though but I was told to expect it. I have only just turned 30 so i really dont have wrinkles, but when I smile I have a few. That is where he injected, now I dont really have them when I smile. The lift is subtle but I love it. I have always wanted high brows and if this is all it takes I am there!!!!! :scared:

Hiya Patty Thanks for the compliment!! I had fraternal girl/boy twins. They are nearly 8 now. I have a 13 yo daughter and a 2 yo daughter. I also had a stillborn baby boy in 1996. I am 5"6 tall and currently on about 190lbs. I started at 265lbs. I still have a lot of swelling in the lipoed areas(upper abs, hips, back and waist). Thanks again for the compliment.

Hiya Annette, I didnt even look into Medicare but apparently Fee had hers done completely covered by Medicare. If I recall shes in Melbourne I think. Start a thread calling her out. I paid privately and I am about $25000 out of pocket for all my procedures and hospital. Good Luck

Well, at my last visit I was casually mentioning that one day id love to have a brow lift because I have such small squinty eyes. My consultant said they arent doing them as much anymore because of the chemical brow lift. I had no idea what she was on about and asked her what it was. She said people get the botox just above their brows and it lifts them creating a lifted look for 6 mths or so. I was very intruiged but had heard some things about botox so i told her I would come home and research the absolute crap out of it and let her know. Well suffice to say I researched, and I am botoxed :scared: It stung a little but the difference is great. I have kinda high arched brows that I never had. He also done my crows feet at the sides of my eyes and the part in between the eyes. It really does minimise wrinkles if not take them away. Now I know youre thinking I am turning into this plastic surgery botox queen but thats not the case....its just when you fix something major like I did the little things bug you a little and when its as easy as a couple of pricks to get rid of it I am all for it. I know I know, I have heard enough from Paul all afternoon, he said he is going to start calling me barbie if I dont stop. Cosmetic tattooing and hair extensions in 2 weeks :kiss

Hey, I am 3 weeks post op from an Extended tummy tuck, breast lift and lipo. My weight has been up and down but mostly up my whole life. I have had 5 pregnancies one was twins. My body was in BAD shape all over. I went for a consult just for a TT and walked out with a date booked for all the other stuff. I remembering dreaming of the day that I could get a TT and how different life would be without a belly hanging half way down my thighs. well life is different in so many ways. I have WOW moments every day. it is the best thing I have done for myself...aside from banding. The pain was never as intense as I thought it would be and the recovery although slow is no where as bad as its made out to be either. I think alot of it has to do with the mind. We have been so big and lived life imagining these things that when it finally happens we dont really feel the pain and discomfort because of the happiness we feel without the hanging bits. Thats where I am coming from. If you are every in the position to do it I suggest go for it, it truely is a life changing experience especially if you were like me and hadnt seen your thighs and pinny for so long you forget what they look like :scared:

I am in Aussie so I think the sizes are different but I started in a 24/26 now I am in a 16...18 with the swelling I have at the moment. I would be happy with 12/14. It is a realistic size that I know I can maintain.

What a way you have come in the last 2 years. I really dont think calling you an inspiration is a strong enough word. Congrats and hugs

Jessssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, Welcome home!!!!!!!! I so agree with you with the lapband thing. I was laid up in pain like a big woos for ages with the band, nothing like that with this surgery. I cant wait to see your pics...so your tummy is super flat?? Wow!!! How exciting...It is all so worth it when you get to see the results. I am in swell hell the last few days so its getting me down a bit, but I just look at my before pics and I feel better. WOWWWWW I am just so happy for you... HUGS
