Hi all - Just thought I would share my 9 month post op pics. I've lost 126 pounds so far with about 8 to go until goal. While the weight is still coming off, one of the most significant things I've started to do this month is begin to work through the emotional and compulsive eating issues that got me to nearly 300 pounds to begin with. It's been a really emotional month, but I am feeling really good about keeping the weight off long term because I am starting to deal with the core issues rather than the symptoms.
Anyway, here are my most recent pics.

I look at it this way, everyone has their vices. Mine just happens to be food (sugar/carbs mainly). I work with people that drink too much alcohol, smoke and some that are unfaithful to their spouses. If any of them would suddenly give up their vices, I wouldn't ask how they did, just be happy for them. I expect the same.

    July 24th for me.
I keep flipping between being really excited to get this done and then I catch myself thinking "OMG, are you seriously going to do this". Date can't get here soon enough so I this can stop.

crazzeescrapper reacted to Chelly in Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?
I once was a size 34/36 and now I'm a size 12 pant and large top.
I have reached goal but my surgeon would like me to get smaller so my BMI is in the normal range.
I'm going to try to get down further and see what happens.
I hope I can get to where they want me.

I Was sleeved Monday June 9th. I have to say I am one of the lucky ones so far. I had no nausea, no vomiting and minimal pain. That all may sound good but I am having trouble mentally and emotionally. It seems like everywhere you turn there's something that has to do with food. I'm trying to stay strong. This to shall pass. On a good note I am down 12 pounds from the morning of surgery. WOOT WOOT!!

I have them in my legs and they go away/get smaller when I lose weight. I noticed they were gone when I lost about 40 pounds a few years back. Of course they are back now.

Yes, Are you ok? Is the question I was asked today. My coworker instead of saying how good I look I was asked was I sick, and am I ok. Yes im ok I lost 65lbs of unhealthy weight. Oh and the kicker is this question. "Why are you losing weight?". Um because im over weight genius. Its crazy that world looks down on obesity but when a ocer weight person starts to take care of the weight problem, it bothers the world. Fat guy its a salad then he is on a diet, skinny guy eats same salad and eveyone says how good the salad looks.
Thanks for letting me vent a little

Down 120. 13 to go until I reach my Tummy Tuck goal then 10 more after that! Hoping the skin removal will take a good chunk of that last 10 lbs off! Best thin I ever did for myself!!

I was given the below time line by my NUT for the max amounts you should be eating. My surgery is not until July 24 so I can't comment how accurate it is.
    3 months - 1/4 C.
    6 months - 1/2 C.
    9 months - 3/4 C.
1 year and beyond - never more than 1 Cup.

I'm 9 weeks post op and have lost 40 lbs but stalled for the last 3 weeks. However, today I got a NSV at my dr apt. She eliminated the last of my diabetes meds and my cholesterol med!!! I'm so happy!! Just have 2 BP meds to get off next or at least decreased.

I've lost 102 lbs and now working on the last 10. Festival season in New Orleans is hard on my good eating habits...but I'm getting back on track. Have a awesome weekend everybody and good luck!!!!
