  1. Oh, ya..St Vinnies got a carfull.
  2. I don't like the fever part. Call your Dr if it persists. The rest is normal.
  3. How much you lose is up to you. Thetre are lots of rules abd if you follow them and get fills when need them, there is no reason you can't be slim someday.
  4. I think some people do to a certain extent. It's hard because there are some things we don't tolerate well like chix breast and bread. Also there is the extra expense. I have some nuta-system food I'm trying to finish up. My daughter is on WW (no band) and eats lots of lettuce and raw veggies and they don't set well with me. It's easy to just buy pre made meals like South beach, ww etc.
  5. I believe you need a certain amt of carbs and lots of water to break it down . Just remember there are calories in protien too so too much will just make you fat. Some Drs recomend 80 so don't worry about anything between 50 and 80
  6. No, I sure wouldn't have interupted him on the treadmill. I agree they were rude. I also think you over reacted a bit. It didn't seem to have bothered the crush. Maybe he really likes you a lot asnd was happy to meet the parents. If you keep going on and on about it, he may think you're too critical of other people.
  7. Indigo, I thought you were joking but I goggled it and found it. How does it compare to spanx
  8. I think I would wait as long as possible and figure out about how much you lose in an average month. That might give you a better idea of what size to order.
  9. I know I could do it.Have lost a lot several times but it comes back with many more . I too want to see them in 5 years.
  10. All the mentioned ones plus be able to get together with my sisters and not get a bunch of diet advice from 5 of the 6 (one other is fat too) and I don't know why no one else mentions this big I want to be able to wipe my butt with doing acrobatics. ESp hard on small toilets like in the camper, on plains etc. Am I the only one withthat problem?
  11. I think you over re-acted a bit and apologizing for your parents wasn't necessary since he seemed to think it was fine and wasn't upset about it. I think mom is being short with you because she doesn't want to get into it again with you. Being a Mom, I know that some times you just can't win with your kids. If you aren't real involved in their life they think you are ignoring them, or care more for little sister or whatever. And if you are involved you're meddleing. It all gets straightened out when you become parents yourself. If you keep making a big deal out of it you will drive them all away. So loosen up and make nice.
  12. My only regret is that I didn't know about is and have it a few years earlier. Even though I haven't lost a lot of weight do to no restriction yet, I'm confident that eventually I will.
  13. I always have a teribble time finding this thread and I love it. Do you suspose everyone could just move over to the new sixties group which is easier to find?
  14. Good luck with your upcoming surgeries. The surgerie is the easiest part of the whole journey. It's interesting to see how many of us have knee replacements. I had both replaced 2 years ago and still have pain. My ortho says it's calcium build up on the tendons. I honestly think I just weigh too much and if I lose it will get better. I hope I'm right. I also had a rod and scwers put in my lower back last May. That is better than before surgery but I'm sure it will improve even more after I lose. One of you mentioned how hard it would be without NSAIDS. Yes it is hard. Sometimes I have to take a narcotic but I can't really do that unless I'm going to bed. Tylenol just doesn't do the job.
  15. That's a goood idea. I track things on my www.daily plate.com I just startred 3 days ago and it's sorta fun.
  16. Well this is an interesting thread. I never saw it before today. I hope I can get by on 800 cal after my third fill. Now I need about 1200 to not be hungry all the time.
  17. Hi Donna, Yah, I do. I decided a couple nights that all I would allow myself at night would be a can of slimfast, which I am really sick of. I nursed that and felt full when I went to bed. That's worked for 2 nights but I don't know how much longer it will work. I also find that if I eat more in the morning the nights go better.
  18. I really like "the Daily Plate". I paid for the gold membership and it's easier to use. They also have support forums. Even one for lapbanders.
  19. Oh, sorry Robin...I already "met" you. You are the one who wants to live closer to the Dells aren't you. Actually, we don't do that much there. My daughter takes the kids to day trips to water parks sometimes. They are quit affordable off season. There is a place called Knuckleheads attached to a restruant named Buffalo Bills. The kids love to go there. They have hundreds arcade games, a bowling alley, bumper cars, go carts, a little roller coaster. Its a great little indoor amusement park and you don't have to stay at any special motel. Buffola Bills is a nice restruant for parents to hang out while the kids play. Do you have any exciting places up there?
  20. Hi Vessa, Baby is darling! (I'm assuming that's her picture in your avator) I like my Dr.s at UW hosp in Madison but I don't know how far you are from there. People come from Ill. to go there. My biggest problem with them is getting a real live person on the clinic phone. The number is 608-265-7090 if you want to try.
  21. Hi Robin, Are you from Wi? I'm not a football fan but can't help but love the Packers. Too bad it's going to be so cold .
  22. Hi Nicole, I don't live near Milw so I can't answer that. I would suggest you ask other people who they have and how they like them. Or call a clinic and ask if they have any new Drs there who aren't busy yet. I've found that they are very anxious to build up a practice and really do their best. Also if they aren't real busy , they spend more time with you. Good luck!
  23. Hi girls. So glad to see you on the Wi board. I live near Wi Dells. Where do you live?
  24. Welcome to all of you. I just love this group. You have all done so well. My daughter joined weight watchers yesterday and we went healthy food shopping so I'm hoping there won't be so many naughty temptations around here anymore. (I live with my daughter, son-in-law and 2 little boys and 2 dogs and 2 cats and I love it.) So far I have no restriction so it has been an uphill battle. It's encouraging to see how well everyone here is doing. I'm sure my time will come.
