  1. I'm really going yo watch it now. This scared me to death...I literally couldn't move. I didn't know albuteral did this either until this happened. Of course when I went in they gave a superdose!
  2. I am a chronic pain patient. A year ago I went to a long- term pain rehabilitate program which really improved my quality of life...I decided to get healthy hence the rny. Welll as I was exercising pre op, I somehow pinched a nerve in my hip which left me in constant pain again....the I found out I tore the labrum in my tight shoulder. Then today I found out that My back is totally f'd up with arthritis and intrudinng bone spurs that are causing me more nerve pain. I'm ssssoooo tired of being squsdhed by health problems. I walk everyday but I get jealous when I see posts about how herd people are working out. I really just want to get healthy and toned....I guess in God's time....I still think that I'm failing because I can't really push myself when exercising..n YET!
  3. It really sounds as though you're at the end of your rope! I hope you get it all figured out! Do you have any family you and your kids can stay with! Stay safe ....you're great!
  4. What drink..? Of course they said to eat 1-2 bananas each day.....I explained that if I did that I couldn't eat anything else!
  5. Last Wednesday I had a really severe asthma attack. I had to go to the er for an albuteral treatment. Got a double! Anyway, as treatment waned my muscles started to cramp...but I could breathe so i was happy. Over the following 45 minutes my muscle continued to cramp so badly that I couldn't walk. Back to er ! When they did my blood work they found out that my potassium had bottomed out from the albuteral treatment! The doctor explained that the drug lowers potassium and since I was a wls patient, my electrolytes were low normal to begin with and that the albuteral pushed me over the edge. Well needless to say that I will be vigilant about getting all my vitamins and will make sure any docs know I've had wls ! Scary stuff!
  6. Mentally holding your hand! You'll do fine and congratulations!prayers your way, babe!
  7. I was cleared to try salads so I went to town....spinach salad with hb egg and turkey breast....onions tomato and red peppers with balsamic vinegrette....I. ate like four bites and was full but omg I was craving salad so badly...yumm! Tonight is stuffed red peppers with homemade tomato sauce and parmesan. No rice in mine but lots of onion, tomatoes, and garlic. I'm really enjoying cooking and my hubby has lost 9 lbs! Going out of town this weekend and packing yogurt and string cheese., etc but still nervous not to have my kitchen with me:)
  8. Keep trying...you got this!
  9. I take gummy bites..I got them at Walgreens Mine have the 400mcg. Of folate also and I take two a day.. I also use nature's bounty bcomplex liquid vitamin, celebrate iron +c,, and a calcium +d twice a day Chewable caltrate. I'm newer than you so all I know is what the veterans and my Dr. and nut told me...get your protein and vitamins, exercise and weight will come off.
  10. Have you talked to your Dr. And nut? Is there an wls support group in your area? If not try to stay connected here...we'll encourage you! You're not a failure...you just need a little support staying on plan.I know some days I just don't want to sip protein vitamin water all day and then I remind myself why I did this...to get healthy. It takes awhile to develop habits...up to three months so try everyday until it becomes second nature. You can do this!
  11. Hon, you're going to get sick....possibly really sick if you don't do protein and vitamins. Have you tried unflavored protein in crystal light or something like that? I'm not a big shake lover either so that's what I do. Please take care of your health..
  12. Just my husband's way of supporting me I guess. But we're all in different situations and I guess we all have to work it out with our families as best we can. I do agree that the world's not going to stop eating because I had wls...my choice how I deal with the supportive and not - so - supportive as well sd everyday situations.
  13. That's what I did when my husband took the family to the restaurant. We sat down and I explained why buffets obviously wouldn't work for me.We decided that when we go out we would go someplace I could eat and he could take our sons to buffets. He's not a big snacker so that's not a problem. We agreed as a family we would eat healthier before I ever had the surgery but if he wants Mcdonald's who am I to stop him?
  14. I actually asked my doctor...he said three weeks if I felt up to it...ask your doc if you have any questions.
  15. Oh yeah...my doctor and I have no secrets..lmao ...neither do the nurses the housekeeper...the nutritionist...I think I inadvertently flashed everyone on the floor at one time or another!
  16. Absolutely beautiful! Great hair cut too!
  17. I'm afraid the carbonation would either make me sick and full of gas and/or would stretch my pouch. Not taking the chance.
  18. It's just one day...don't dwell on it and know tomorrow is another day!
  19. I know people in my wls support group that let it go flat first but I figure what's the point?
