  1. Glad I'm not alone on this! Better than wanting to eat all the time!
  2. My surgery wss 4/29 and I'm still not beyond eating a couple bites. I force myself to eat most meals even the ones I'm really looking forward to. So not wanting to eat! I am getting my protein through drinks but man I worry about getting enough calories. I guess I just have to trust the process.
  3. Good for you! We're having freakishly cold weather here in Wisconsin. It's only 46 degrees! Way below normal. Still I'll walk at the dog park today. But I'm waiting for summer to finally come!
  4. When I was nearly ready for surgery si woke up at my usual ungodly hour and my first thought was " how can you have this surgery..you LLOOVVE FFOOODD!" Then I realized that was exactly the problem...I loved food but it didn't love me. When I realized how addictive my relationship with food had become, I could admit it was a problem and begin to change my thinking. I still love food but today I don't let it rule me...at least for today, one day ar a time.
  5. Great job. After purees I was soooo ready for solid foods too! Good luck and glad to meet you! I totally understand how medical issues can affect weight. I became disabled after heart surgery in 200 and I really gained weight. Glad you are doing better!
  6. You're doing great! Looking good!
  7. Some insurances have a waiting period after a mental health hospitalization. It totally depends on the policy guidelines. It may also depend on what the hospitization was for. Mine has a one year wait from hospitilization, but my policy is also very strict. Good luck and I hope everything works out!
  8. I'm doing great...how is everyone else? It's weird though...almost everyone in the local monthly support group had the sleeve...I mean there's two of us wy have had rny...the rest don't come to group.

  10. Sounds like my husband's family....they don't know and hopefully they won't.
  11. Duh! What was I thinking? I'm going out of town next weekend and was so fixated on "grab and go" bottles I didn't even think! I'll have to figure something else out for the 10 hour drive though.
  12. Yeah I'm going with two claws (just bought them) with Dijon caper lemon Mayo...cant wait for dinner even though I'll never eat both claws!
  13. Wow...sorry that happened.some people just so do not get it!
  14. Nobody's perfect. Be honest with your Dr.and nut and get back on the horse. I think it's more important to recommit to your new way if life and way less important to dwell on the past. You can do this and today is a new day!
  15. Good for you! Best of luck!
  16. You're doing great! Glad you're. Here!
  17. I had two appts. a month apart..about an hour each. Talked to the shrink about my motives, etc. She also gave me resources for post surgery...mine was no biggie.
  18. If you like lobster you'd probably like it.
  19. It's very sweet..delicious!
  20. Crab does sound good! I've had crab cakes but now I think it's time for a leg.
