  3. Wow, that is fantastic!
  4. Me too please. kjohnson1272@gmail.com No rush just whenever you have a minute. Thanks a million! !!
  5. Interesting! I just finished a week of carafate I was prescribed to take after my dilation last Monday. It has done the same thing to my skin.
  6. Just had one Monday. DOS was 4/2/13. Had slight stricture so doctor stretched a bit. Was knocked out for procedure. I was in for procedure and out of recovery in less than 45 minutes. No pain at all. My mom drove me Had to go back to liquids for one day and soft for two days. Don't fret, you will do great.
  7. I just had this done this morning at 7:45. Dr. said he stretched it about 4mm. Expecting it to end up being around 10-11mm once all healed up. No discomfort at all but hoping I do not have to do it again.
  8. My tummy gurgles all the time. Whether I am eating or not. I will be 7 weeks post op tomorrow. When I put on the first bite is when it does the most.
  9. I take Flexeril 10mg and Amitriptyline 100mg for my Fibro at bedtime. It helps me to get a good nights sleep and helps with the pain as well. Cymbalta and Lyrica made me so sick and the withdrawals from it were worse. So these other meds seems to work for me.
  10. When i had my upper GI done prior to surgery, I could not drive myself. They gave me (twilight), not complete sedation, but I do not remember any part of it at all. I had no discomfort afterwards at all. But I did have to sign a paper that I had a driver.
  11. I came home 7 pounds heavier than day of surgery. But at my one week checkup, i had lost that 7 and 5 more. It will come off, just takes a few days. Those dang bags of fluid!!!!! Hang in there!
  12. I have had this pain a few times and Saturday night it happened and I threw up after an hour and a half of walking the floors of my house. First time throwing up since surgery on April 2. Then the pain came back and threw up an hour later too. Went to my dr on Monday and he is going to do a scope to see what is going on. Said scarring could be causing a stricture. Did fine first 5 weeks and then all of a sudden, food and sometimes even drinks causes that pain...like it is stuck and has no where to go. Hope you feel better soon.
  13. I am just the opposite. I have had zero headaches since surgery and I used to have them constantly. This has been an added benefit of surgery to me. It could just be from no sugar or caffeine, that my body is not withdrawing from it like it would on a day to day basis prior to surgery. Hope you got some relief eventually!
  14. I ordered some too. I found discounts and free shipping codes on RetailMeNot by typing in Questbar Coupon codes. Looking forward to getting them!
  15. I have BCBSIL as well. The paperwork submitted to them did show my weight history, High blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I did not have to do any further testing or dieting to get the approval..
  16. The hospital I was in had Isopure. I was able to drink the grape. The Fruit punch was disgusting. I have a BLue raspberry still in my fridge that I am scared to open. The aftertaste was not pleasant. Leaves a fuzzy feeling in my mouth. Just my opinion.
  17. You have obviously done a great job. How did you get your protein in without any shakes? I can't stomach them so I need some alternatives.
  18. I thought the same exact thing after my shower this morning. Shaving my legs is so much easier too. I will be at 4 weeks post op tomorrow. Looking forward to more new things to come.
  19. I agree. The Atkins were my preference before surgery, but now I gag at the thought. And I bought a BUNCH!!! Big mistake. I need to try the UNJURY chicken soup. I have heard it is really good. I bought Muscle Milk Light, EAS, SlimFast, because they were all pretty good tasting. But post op, they are not as good tasting. So don't buy a lot pre-surgery even if you like them. The bottom shelf of my fridge is still FULL. Thankfully my husband drinks one before he goes to work each day to help me get rid of them.
  20. Awesome! I can not wait to actually be able to see the difference in pictures.
  21. I was having bad dizzy spells although doing great on my liquids during my 2nd week PO. I went to my primary care doctor and my blood pressure was only like 90/60. So within 16 days of surgery, I had to go off my blood pressure medicine. I knew I would go off of them but was surprised it was so fast.
  22. My surgery was April 2. I did not have a drain. The catheter was taken out before I got to my room, don't even remember it. I only had the 2 tiny catheters in my abdomen coming from my ON-Q pain pump. Pulled it out couple days after I got home, no problem.
  23. From my insurance approval, my surgery date was about 4 weeks out due my surgeon being so busy.
  24. I had 4 incisions. Biggest one about one inch on my right side. It is the slowest to heal as the others have been healed for at least a week or two. Mine was done with the DaVinci robot, might be why I only had 4 total. ???
