Scope

I have to get a scope done tomorrow. I was wondering what other people's experiences were with it. I'm more nervous for this than I was for surgery

Is this the same as a endoscopy? If so that was a breeze.

I've had about 10 upper endoscopies done - I think out of all of them I had one semi bad experience, and even then it wasn't too bad. No pain, a bit of gas afterward, but only a few times. Sleepy for the rest of the day, but otherwise super easy. No need to be nervous - you'll do great!!

Just had one Monday. DOS was 4/2/13. Had slight stricture so doctor stretched a bit. Was knocked out for procedure. I was in for procedure and out of recovery in less than 45 minutes. No pain at all. My mom drove me Had to go back to liquids for one day and soft for two days. Don't fret, you will do great.

When is a scope needed?

Had one last Friday. They put you under so you don't feel a thing. Felt fine after. You can't drive at all after and need to relax for the day.
