  1. I am quite sure it is not pretty when I run. I am sure all sorts of things are flapping in the wind.
  2. I had 3 baby back ribs tonight. Great on protein, but probably too much fat. Tolerated fine. It was a good treat, but probably not the best idea to eat regularly.
  3. I stared at the clock... Finally gave in to Water at 25 mins. :0) lesson learned.
  4. Single... And ready to start looking... So watch out world! :0)
  5. I came to a realization after surgery that the surgeon's office and the psych office were in a money making scam! No where in any pre op did anyone mention that the surgeon required a group therapy visit once a month post op. I canceled my appointment right after surgery. The "psych" was a 20 year, super skinny guy that had no idea what we were going through. He basically read a script at our pre op meeting. I get way more encouragement and information from this site.
  6. Congrats Jenna on your amazing journey so far! Great things ahead for us all in 2013!
  7. Congrats on 8 years! How are things for you now? We're you able to keep it off?
  8. Abbey beep, I have no answers for you, but I will lift you up in prayer. I hate that you have had such a hard journey. Stay strong! Healing thoughts your way!
  9. I'm a month and a half out and it is getting easier. One mistake I made was having a tablespoon of Peanut Butter for dinner one night... Waiting 30 minutes after that was torture!
  10. Turkey meatballs tonight. They were not too tasty, but packed with protein. Other than that I had 2 protein shakes today.
  11. Wow! You are killing it! Good for you. How is weight loss going? I bet your body is changing daily! I've been mixing it up. Thursdays I p,ay basketball in a women's league for about 2 hours.. Playing time 1 and 1/2 hours. Sundays I go hiking... Yesterday went 7 miles. I try to run at least 2 times during the week. Right now it's only 15 mins of running and 15 walking. Gotta to step it up so I can do a 5k in march!
  12. Basketball for an hour and a half. Tired!
  13. Ran for 15 minutes. Not a lot, but I didn't stop.
  14. Glad you are out of the hospital and the way to recovery! My first solid food after surgery was a soft scrambled egg about 1 1/2 weeks post op. It was delicious after almost a month of liquids! Good Luck. Hope the blood clot is not slowing you down.
  15. I had to do a liquid diet 2 weeks before surgery and lost 20 pounds. It was the Optifast diet. Protein shakes. It really worked.
  16. Sendings prayers your way. Gods timing is perfect!
  17. Even pre op at the hospital I had a nurse say, " you're not big enough to need this." Not the pep talk I needed going into surgery. Being obese limits everything we do. I am so glad I had the surgery. I'm 5 weeks out, down 43 pounds, and feeling great. I'm exercising a lot and doing things I haven't been able to do in awhile.
  18. Mstratto, Just checking in. How are you feeling? You are now beginning week 2 of post op. hope you are feeling good.
  19. Congrats! It is such an awesome feeling when the weight starts to come off and clothes get baggy! I'm 5 weeks out and feeling great! Try to walk starting now. The more active you are before surgery seems to help recovery time. Good luck!! Oh and congrats on that grad baby that's on the way!
  20. I started walking immediately. At 3 days laps around neighborhood, at 3 weeks long hikes in the woods 3+ miles, jogging at 4 weeks, playing basketball at 4 weeks. My doctor said all of that is good, just hold off on weigh lifting and core stretching until 1 1/2 months post op to allow insides to heal.
  21. Walking around the neighborhood 3 days post op, hiking 3+ miles at 3 weeks, started jogging 4 weeks post op
  22. ReGift? At least you don't need it! Congrats on the 54!
