My surgeon requires a 2 to 3 week liquid diet pre op. whew... That's going to be tough, but I'll be so ready by the time I get a date for surgery, I don't think I'll mind!!

I called to make my first appointment last April. The surgeon could not see me until the end of June... Then all the hoop jumping began. Yes, I have had several appointments all over the place from X-rays to psych consults. I just finished my last Pre Op preliminary appointment and now have to wait for them to call to set up a decision visit. After that it has to be approved by insurance company.... Then I can get a surgery date. I had no idea the process would be this long. You have to be really committed to the surgery to go through it all and I am! Good luck with the process. I know it will be worth it in the end!

I feel like I have jumped through all sorts of hoops to get the surgery, but I finally finished all my pre-op appointments. It has taken me 4 months to get through everything, but I know it will be worth the wait. I'm waiting for my decision visit appointment. The appointment desk is supposed to call once they have the pre-lims completed. Hate to bug the surgeons office, but I'm calling tomorrow. I want my decision visit so I can have a date set for surgery. I'm nervous and excited!

I have talked to my family and close friends. I wanted the people I am close to to know. I need that support. I have not told anyone at work yet, including the boss. Not sure what I am going to say once I get my date. I'm guessing ill probably tell my boss, but not really wanting to...

I am hoping for a December surgery date. I have my decision visit coming up. It has taken 4 months of pre-op appointments and I'm excited... And nervous to finally get a surgery date!
