Start/today Schedule 3 work out a week for only thirty Minutes, my self I like Carideo with lite weights. ( Walking ) What do you want to Accomplish faster weight loss? I think that if you keep a record of your food intake and your calorie consumption you are allowing your self amore accurate approach to maintaining your weight loss ( because ) your thinking about all the food you are eating! Also keep a Journal of your exercise, and if your going to work out (work your whole body!) Have you ever went to a gym and there are people standing around talking about football or other stuff like the War, what ever. Then you hear him say I was the Gym for three hour's what a work out! yeah your lips were a flapping! Just go in thirty minutes get your heart rate up and leave build your self up! the key is doing some thing! "I lost most of my weight walking one hour a day before I hurt my back and watching my calorie intake and drinking lots of water! With out no fancy GYM! You don't even need weight use you own body! the plank is great laying on your elbows like your doing apush up holding your stomach in. its harder then you think! or there is the super man just laying on your stomach suck it in pushing your arms in the air and your legs in the air! this exercise targets your core muscles stronger stomach and lower back! also push ups sit ups. for most of us that are over weight eather way walking! is the best and its free! Easy on your knee's and back! being large myself for over twenty years of being FAT you feel the extra weight that we carry! So if you are in a slump her is a ..............( PUSH ).... summer is just around the corner! and keep track of at least one thing aday your ( PRIMARY GOAL ) yes I want to lose that weight and help your band out and your body in side that is saying I can do this, Good luck start walking to day! 16. Weight Isssue, This is only my opinion, people that are on the heaver side tend to be self-conscious or low self-esteem "I know I was! and people tend to treat obease people different. 2nd class "I may have been FAT but deep down I was still good looking at (least in my own mind.) I was seeing a Doctor about my arm shoulder we were talking, he stopped what he was doing and told me that I was FAT, he was small in size then me but he was over weight FAT too! so I kindly told him to look into the mirror buddy because you are to! that was the only time I have ever been so hurt and mad at the same time. said some thing. If you really stop and think about life, think about your weight and how weight holds you back! from your on body's ability to pick your self up sure you would like to go for a walk but your back hurts, knee's hurt and all the many problems that go along with being over weight. sure you like to run next to your kidds playing with them chasing them around the yard but weight holds us back. Im happy you feel great and are picking and holding your heads UP! Im just learning that, now that Im out of (prison with my weight) I can run freely with my kidds I can join in there fun after losing all my weight I now no that there is nothing that can stop me on any thing! I CAN DO ANY THING! and my main focus is to stay healthy for my self and my kidds. I refuse to be fat again to be in bondge! if i have to walk every day swim bike what ever! I will do it. Im so proud of my self that I have lost weight, and proud of all of you guy's even if you lost ten pounds or hundred more your taking back your LIFE! keep the fight going for your self and the family that love's you! lose the weight at all cost.

I have been looking this up. It's hard to find information on starvation that isn't given relating to eating disorders, and I want more than just that one branch of opinion. http://jaoii.lunarpages.com/bar.gif One article on POWs in Japan said they were on a "near-starvation diet of 700 calories per day". Most sources will agree that this is most definitely within actual starvation range. A diet article said that "to avoid triggering the starvation-adaptation response, you should consume at least 1,200 Calories per day if you’re a woman and 1,600 Calories if you’re a man." I think, though, that they were more concerned with the metabolism's slowing-down response than actual starvation. And I found a technical, encyclopaedic definition that seems pretty thorough: Starvation is classified into three categories based on caloric intake over time (Frisancho, 1981): 1. Acute - less than 600 calories/day for less than two weeks. 2. Semiacute starvation - less than 1100 calories/day for less than 30 days. 3. Moderate semistarvation - less than 1600 calories/day for as long as 24 weeks. Initial consequences of starvation are apathy, muscle weakness, and reduction of activity. Body weight loss is progressive. The body first extracts energy from carbohydrate stored in the liver and glycogen in muscles. Then the body burns fat to get needed energy for about two weeks. After that point both fat and Protein are used. After 24 weeks there is a loss of physical work performance. Individuals with a daily diet intake of less than 2,000 calories per day have impaired physical work capacity. Many sources agree that starvation causes some pretty typical behavior changes. Interestingly enough these new behaviors are the same as those usually found in eating-disordered people... a fixation on the body, an obsession with meal-planning and cooking, the tendency to hoard food or pictures of food, other compulsive-type ritualized patterns. I'm curious. How many of those traits do eating-disordered people start with, and how many show up on their own as a result of our food habits? A lot of doctors attribute our disorders to those traits, not the traits to the disorder, and therefore tend not to consider the possibility. And the article about the Minnesota starvation study has finally reared its pretty head. I'm so frickin' happy! I love this baby. It explains so many of those odd little quirks that plague me from time to time, and I think it's fascinating to see how starvation can turn almost anyone into an ED, at least for a while. I wonder if that's really how a lot of EDs begin. People with the tendencies start to diet, then their bodies kick into gear and yank them down. So it's not just a matter of willpower or self-control or "not letting a diet get out of hand" if some of us really can't mess with that without going nuts, is it? Go here to read the parts pertaining to the study, and here to find the whole thing (load the page, then click "psychoeducational"). http://jaoii.lunarpages.com/bar.gif untitled2.html An Endocrinologist Talks About Consequences of Starvation Problems Caused By Being Underweight IB Holocaust Project: Starvation, Cold, and Disease Levi - food, calories Primo Levi.
