Energy drinks?
Check the sugar, I know monsters, even the low carb monsters still have like a zillion grams of sugar in them. I'd be afraid of dumping. Try the b12 energy shots.

Need diet advice pre op :)
Be creative with the shakes, add different things to it. I have the vanilla cream whey isolate, and it's bleh by it's self. I started adding sugar free coffee creamer, and flavorings, and spices. I made a hazelnut cinnamon shake yesterday, it was super tasty.

Update.
I had my post op check up with my surgeon. Everything looks good, except my pulse was a little high, so he thinks I'm dehydrated. So I'm upping Water intake. Buuuuut I've lost 31 lbs since my surgery date! only 13 days. That's like 2.5 lbs a day! Totes cray. But I'm super happy about it. Hopefully I'll be out of the 400's by then end of the month -fingers crossed-

Oh I know that search is awful! But there are a few- Excess skin in younger RNY.
That would be nice- It's been a long journey, 20 and excited
Congrats! I am 21 I started my journey at 19. And went through the same bs. But now I am 12 days out and it's well worth it. Message me if you have any questions.- Depression?
"nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" You will be alright, when you start thinking about food find something to keep your mind busy, go for a walk, take a bath, do something. Also, my therapist said to brush my teeth when I consider cheating, you know how tooth paste makes everything taste ick. Just think about that number, 39 is a good number, and it'll keep going up. Focus on the positives.- help! im 2 weeks out and going to be at applebees..WHAT DO I EAT?
They have a really good tortilla soup that should be alright, It's kinda like chili.- UH OH...I'm scared!
What did you cheat with? Don't try to rush your recovery, it will make things worse. I would recommend having a friend or family member to be around to help with your child and your mother. You will be fine, just don't stress, breathe, etc.- Aetna approval without 2 year weight history?
It depends, my insurance (BCBS) would qualify it with moderate to severe SA. I'd talk to your insurance.- Thing to take with you to the hospital.
Chapstick #1! Some form of entertainment.(book/tablet/computer) Slip on shoes, or socks to walk around in. (although some hospitals provide these) Pillow (hospital beds are the devil) Phone/charger Loose clothing to go home in. Yeah, that's pretty much it. Lol- The Noise!
Same here, although, now my tummy makes noise all the time, so it's a trade off, lol.- Aetna approval without 2 year weight history?
Do you have any co-morbidities? Most insurances will do bmi of 35+ with diabetes, sleep ap, high blood pressure, pcos, etc.- Stress...
Everything will be fine, Find a way to distract your mind, read a book, or walk around the lobby. I just realized that this advice is probably a little bit late. lol.- Have a surgery date but still have not gotten the approval from Insurance
They gave me my date before my approval also, I just called every other day until they told me I was approved.- Tattoo's and Weight Loss
I've been looking for an answer to the same question. I have one tattoo on my lower leg. One person I asked, said it was like a shrinky-dink It shrank with the leg. And I was like, that's pretty cool. But another person said her's looks awful, I bet it is like loose skin, it depends on a bunch of different factors.- my story so far
And Ive been healing great! I've had no complications, no nausia, no nothing, it's been really weird actually.- my story so far
I had my surgery April 25th, I was 470 on my date. I'm not sure how much I've lost so far, follow up is on wednesday, I'm so excited.- worried
You will be alright.- Moms giving me cold feet
Reasons why I didn't chose lapband: I don't like the idea of having a foreign implement. I didn't like the idea of having the fills and maintenance I didn't like the risk that it could burst or slip. Reasons why I chose RNY Less of a chance of esophagus cancer. Dumping will keep me in check. Had the best history of success Better chance of weight loss. My recovery is still ongoing, but I feel great, I'm 10 days out, and I already feel as though I have more energy. I've had no nausea, I'm walking almost a mile a day, and I can already tell I'm losing weight. And At the point where you're considering weight loss surgery, all of them are MAJOR abdominal surgery and the recovery time will be about the same. Each procedure has it's pro's and con's, Do your research and decide what is best for YOU, not us, not your mother's friend, but YOU! Just remember that it is ultimately your decision in the end, Don't let anyone chose for you.- Wondering if its possible
- Naked...
I'm hoping and praying that since I'm young I won't have that much extra, But I am also really heavy...so I don't know. There's always plastics! Best of luck ladies.- Seminar was Today! :)
Congrats, I wish you a speedy approval!- 23 days until surgery
It'll hit you closer to surgery, or you may be the lucky few that don't have anxiety about this. lol. - It's been a long journey, 20 and excited
