I was ready to go a week and a half out of surgery. I would say go for it. Just be careful with lifting the kids.- Scared to really start exercising
I've been swimming four times a week since my incisions were healed.- What ya eating tonight?
- What ya eating tonight?
I tried something new. I don't know what to call it. But I added up 39 g of protein per half cup serving. And about 8g fat 1 chicken breast A 4rh cup of raw cauliflower A packet of cheese from mac and cheese Steam the cauliflower. Bake or pan fry the chicken. Combine the chicken and cauliflower in a bowl or pan. Prepare as you would mac and cheese. But it is super tasty.- Protein Cookies

God does everything for a reason. Everything will be okay mami! Just hold your head high and have faith. You are an strong educated woman, and you don't need a man dictating your life.- EXCERISE IDEAS NEEDED

Congratulations!- surgery date 5/29
Congratulations! You're going through a major life change, and it's well worth it. I'm a month out and every day is something different, but I've never regretted my decision.- Mum's the word!
I told everyone. Those who were negative I stopped talking to, those who were positive and supportive I kept close. It was a good way to weed out toxic people from my life. I don't regret telling people. This is my new life, and I'm proud of my decision to undergo this procedure, and I want people to know my story, and see how far I've come, and how far I'll go. The choice to tell people depends on you, if you don't feel comfortable telling people then don't.- Can't get over the mental hunger
I just take a nibble, and usually it tastes nothing like I imagined and the craving dissipates.- What to Expect - First Appointment!
At my first appointment The first thing they did was take my weight and vitals (pulse, blood sugar, temp etc). Then I met with the surgeon who talked about my weight history, and goals, which segued in to the choice of surgery. I had made a firm decision to have bypass, so he agreed that it would be the best option. Then, he did a physical exam, I laid on the table and examined my tummy. It isn't that bad, just turn your brain off for a few seconds. He just felt around a little bit, and said everything looked good, and that I'd be an excellent candidate for the surgery. Then he ordered labs and tests and exams. Blood work, Psych exam, ekg, and upper GI.- April 2013 Post-Op Group
