  1. Great job! You look fantastic
  2. Way to go Tor, looks like you are doing great; you look fantastic! Keep up the good work
  3. I agree with ya John. Im down over 50 lbs now and the last week I've been losing roughly one lb a day. I keep thinking its going to stop and this is the skinniest I'll be. I did have a week where I lost nothing! Every day it's constantly on my mind how much will I be able to lose. I guess because I had Lapband and had so many issues, I never got to my goal. I am so determined this time not to fail! I guess we all just have to keep moving forward and be confident in ourselves! We will make our goals if we want it bad enough!!
  4. My bf has made comments about me leaving him As well.. Things like oh your gonna get to your goal and leave me for someone else. I think a lot of you guys said it best.. It's a lot of insecurity and in fairness to our other halves... It's something a lot of them never thought twice about, until now. Just like it may take some of us some time to realize we are attractive and deserving of the attention we may get more so now in our new bodies. Just hang in there guys and remember why you fell in love with your spouse in the first place
  5. Way to go.. You look fabulous momma!
  6. Ok I want in on this FB love fest! Add me- Mary Gaglio
  7. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns w/ Dr. Kurian... Id be happy to share my experience! I've been going to their practice for over two years now! You are in good hands
  8. Ugh I'm so sorry to hear about your insurance difficulties! I sure hope it all works out for you!
  9. Also... I've seen dr. Schwack @ NYU (same practice as fielding/kurian) he's very good too! He's doing my bf's uncles gastric sleeve next Friday. Can't say enough good things about that practice
  10. Dr Kurian was my surgeon, I had my lap band revised to gastric bypass.. I love her to bits. Just saw her yesterday for my six week post op appointment. I highly reccomend her!!
  11. Oh goodness... Im so sorry to hear. I will keep you in my prayers. Hoping they get you some relief soon.
  12. As of this morning i am down 43 lbs. I have been working out a little bit harder the last few days and wanted to see if it's producing any results. And low and behold... Scale success
  13. One of those things I think surgeon's/nutritionists differ on. My nutritionist said no salad or crunchy veggies/fruits until 4 months post op. I'm dying for a nice salad!!
  14. Agrees with LosingIt! Sounds like a good list for many of us to get a peek at
  15. I took it for a day or two after I got home. And yes I was itchy by my incisions too, it's common when you are healing!
  16. You look awesome Vamp! Love the shorts, very cute girl!
  17. I gotta admit, I love the Flintstones vitamins too!
  18. Thanks for the encouragement! People in my life have been telling me they can see how different I look already; but in my head it's like they were just being nice, knowing I went through surgery etc. I'm excited about the results I'm seeing already. I was wearing a 22w just a few weeks back and now my size 16 are fitting.. Even fit into a old pair of 14 dress pants on Friday I treated myself to a few new tops/capris and automatically tried on the bigger sizes because in my head, I'm still not going to fit in the smaller sizes. I'm excited to see where my weight loss journey takes me! Everyone looks amazing... Keep up the good work guys
  19. Well here is one of my "work in progress" before/now. Starting weight 265. Current 225 I'm 5 weeks post op. First is pic is about 3 weeks before surgery second is from just now lol
  20. Who is your surgeon? Mine is dr. Kurian
  21. Are you having your surgery @ nyu John?
  22. I too am a failed Lapband patient; I revised to RNY on 4/17 and so far so good! I have to say this surgery was a good deal different for me as I haven't had the hunger I had with the band. I have to constantly remind myself to eat lol. Recovery has been ok for the most part as well and I'm already seeing some great results! It's been quite the journey but I feel like I may be finally on my way.
