  1. Glad your stall has broken and that you're in better spirits!
  2. I was the exact same way! Go to Graphical Tickers and Trackers: Weight Loss, Trying To Conceive, Pregnancy... Choose weight loss and pick your banner and little icon...then fill out the info. When you get to the end it will give you code to copy. Copy the code and then go to your usercp at the top and click edit signature over on the left and paste that code into your signature. Voila!
  3. That's awesome! Good for you. I'm only 12 days out but haven't started exercising yet...still a little tender. by the time I get home from work, I'm pretty exhausted too....waiting for the energy level to pick up a bit.
  4. Wow...I'm 12 days out today too and I'm only down 12 lbs. I say only....hell I'll take it! How many calories are you getting in now? Are you on mushies yet?
  5. yeah mine is a pill too...and I have no trouble swallowing it. I had actually stopped taking mine and last night I paid the price for that. I took it this morning!
  6. My husband was kinda similar beforehand...It was driving me crazy. I even started a thread here titled....I think I want to sell my husband to pay for my surgery. I found out that a lot of it was his fear...and a little of it just wariness...he thought I made the decision too quickly without really giving it enough thought. That wasn't true....I had been thinking about it way before I started talking about it. I did TONS of research and reading. He has since come around and has been very supportive and helpful. Give him time...and if he doesn't come around...screw him. We're here for ya! :sad0:
  7. Gosh I hope so....I already told all of my friends I was going to be a cheap date...hehehe
  8. Congratulations!!! It's a pretty exciting adventure isn't is?
  9. Thanks and anytime you wanna come on over...let me know!
  10. Also..did they send you home with an incentive spirometer and if so have you been doing the breathing exercised every hour or two?
  11. Well at the end of this month I know I'm going to have a few drinks... Every year I host a meetup for a group of friends that come in from all over the country. We rent a house in New Orleans and just party for about 5 days. I'm not going to overdo it but I know better than to think I'm going to survive the whole trip without drinking anything! LOL
  12. Thanks...can those be ordered online anywhere that you know of? We don't have a Costco here..we just have Sam's.
  13. I'm very glad you have talked to your surgeon! If it's really bothering you...especially the shortness of breath, I'd either call him again or I'd go to the ER. Shortness of breath and tightning in your chest can be a sign of a leak...but they say if you have a leak you'll know it. My doc's office told me to expect some weakness and fatigue for the next few weeks..and I do find I need an afternoon nap sometimes. If you're getting in 50 oz of liquid you shouldn't be dehydrated. Are you running a temp? Good luck to you and I'm sorry you're going through this!
  14. Thanks katt! It's time for me to ordering more samples! :biggrin2:
  15. Congratulations! That's great loss too! I'm only 11 days out from surgery but I can honestly say I'm not missing all the carb rich foods I used to eat. I will confess though that when I saw a pizza hut commercial on tv the other day...I had a moment of drooling...but it didn't linger. LOL
  16. I LOVE seeing before and after pictures...they're very inspiring! Thanks so much for sharing!
  17. My PrescriptFit Protein powder (that's what my surgeon's office sells and the stuff I had to be on pre-op) has 10 g of carb per scoop. One scoop is 14 g of protein and I mix it with 6 oz of Water. The other Protein Powder I use is Muscle Milk Light banana creme and 1 serving is 2 scoops mixed with 10 oz of water and it has 11g of carbs and 25 g of protein. I think I need to find protein powders with less carbs. I did order some cans of Extreme smoothie chocolate dream which are very low carb and taste pretty decently. They haven't come in yet. I have a couple of bottles of OhYEAH! RTD which only have 7 g of carbs per 14 oz bottle and 32 g of protein...but it has whey protein concentrate and my nut said that wasn't the best source of protein. SIGH! lol
  18. dang..sorry I missed you in chat! Good luck again and can't wait to hear about your experience,
  19. That is so awesome!! Thanks for sharing! :lol4:
  20. If you go to her profile and search all her threads, she started a thread saying she had begun her VLOG. That's how I found it.
  21. You lost 17 lbs the first week. I lost 8.
  22. OK...I'm 10 days out from my surgery today. Today I can add creamed Soups, sf pudding, and yogurt to my diet. Here's my problem. This is what I took in yesterday..just Protein shakes and Water with crystal light. 520 calories, 24g of carbs, and 90g of protein. Today so far I've had 415 calories, 31g of carbs, and 53g of protein. Now I totally don't have room (hunger wise and capacity wise) to add anything more so in order to add creamed Soup, or sf pudding (doesn't seem to have any nut value at all), or yogurt, I'd have to substitute one of my Protein Shakes...and then I wouldn't be getting in enough protein and would be adding a bunch of carbs! I realize I'm probably overthinking this way too much...a classic fault of mine...but anyway... Can someone tell me what to do please?
  23. I haven't had any problem at all swallowing pills since the day I came home from the hospital. The two prescriptions they sent me home with were pills....the acid reducer and the Symax. I've also resumed taking my vitamin D capsule too. My multi vitamin and iron supplement are chewables..got them from my surgeon's office. They are Bariatric Advantage. And I take a weekly sublingual B 12
  24. wow bjean...that's incredible! We were sleeved on the same day and I can't have crap! I can't have cottage cheese until 4 weeks out. They don't want me to have mashed potatoes at all. I can have well cooked veggies at 5 weeks. I can't have eggs until six weeks out...I can't have tuna or fish or chicken or turkey until 8 weeks out and I can't have any beef or pork for six months. Big DRAMATIC sigh! lol
