OhYeah! Protein Drinks
I got them at GNC. I did find them at several places online as well but I wanted to make sure it was an OK source of protein before I ordered a few cases of it!

OhYeah! Protein Drinks
Ok...so I really like these! The 14 oz. bottle has 32 g's of Protein. Has anyone else tried these? Are they are good choice for a Protein Drink? I also really like the Muscle Milk Light Protein powder. I'm trying to find alternatives to my one and only that I like the best that I get at my surgeon's office. That is PrescriptFit Lactose Free chocolate powder. One scoop mixes with 6 oz. of Water and has 14 g's of protein. Thoughts on the OhYeah! RTD shakes and the Muscle Milk Light powder?

Quick update from Citygal
Great job! Especially on that walking! That's going to be really tough for me. Exercise is going to come very slow but I'm hoping as I lose some weight that my back will be able to take more and I'll be able to walk more. Up till now, I couldn't even walk around the block or even just stand up at my kitchen sink doing dishes for more than about 5-10 minutes without being in extreme pain. All I've been able to do so far is walk up and down my driveway several times several times a day.

Ready to Start Living Again
Welcome Brian! We are very glad you decided to post and introduce yourself. Just consider us part of your extended family now! I'm very sorry for your loss and I think it's wonderful that you have devoted yourself to your children. I had the same fears as you...my husband did as well. He was worried I wouldn't wake up from surgery or that something would go horribly wrong during the surgery. Of course it's a fear but I knew the risk of dying of a heart attack or stroke from my other health issue related to being overweight were much greater. Doing this for yourself and getting yourself healthy is the greatest gift you can give to your children. Congratulations on your decision and please keep posting! We will all be here for you! Do you have a surgery date yet?

What a difference a month makes.....
BJean, do you find it has that "proteiny" taste? The one I use PrescriptFit lactose free chocolate tastes just like brownie mix to me...I really like it. I don't have to force myself to drink it all!

What a difference a month makes.....
One scoop has 14 grams of protein. I haven't tried any juices..they said I could have some diet cranberry juice which I don't like so. What brand of Protein Powder are you using?

What a difference a month makes.....
I don't get to have to eggs until week 6! On day 10 I can add thin creamed soups, pudding, and yogurt. Right now I can only have clear liquids and protein drinks/shakes. Today I had 3- 6 oz shakes...one scoop of powder in each. One scoop is 110 calories, 2 g of fat, and 10 g of total carbs. The only other thing I've had today is water.

Sleeved 5 days ago ectreme gas. . .
This evening I can say yes..I'm feeling much better. Not nearly as sore as I was but I'm still burping like crazy. My incisions are itchy too but that's good cause it means they're healing. As the day goes on I can take in more at one time. I started on my Protein shakes today...6 oz at a time - 14 grams of protein each. I've managed to drink three today plus sipping on Water all day. I can tell it's going to be a struggle for me to get in all of the protein. I tried adding a pack of

Welcome Richard! What are your plans for losing the 60 lbs? Has your surgeon given you a supervised diet plan to follow? Are you able to do any exercise at all? Do a little walking or anything?
