  1. Good luck on your new journey. I had my surgery on April 23rd. I didn't go to intensive care. I think every situation is different.
  2. I'm glad your home. Sometimes once your stable, home is the best place to be. I pray for a speedy recovery.
  3. That's great. I had my surgery on April 23rd. I'm doing well. Good luck to you.
  4. I'm feeling good. So far no problems. I'm tolerating the liquids but I am so sick of them. I have an appointment on Monday I think the doctor will put me on the next phase of the diet.
  5. I hope your getting better so you can go home.
  6. Try some brandy in your tea. The more the merrier.
  7. I had my surgery on Monday. My doctor told me to start the protein shakes on Saturday. The first five days he said he just wants me to stay hydrated. Good luck.
  8. Being scared is normal. I had my surgery on Monday April 23rd. When I got to the hospital I just wanted to get it over with. I was very scared when it came time to drink liquids. Thank god all is going well. I haven't had any problems. Good luck!

I'm sending prayers your way. Just know that you are not alone. Read some of the stories here. We're all here for the same reason. I'm praying that you get approved.
  11. I'm crossing my fingers and folding my hands for you. Lol. Good luck.
  12. I was supposed to stay one day but had a fever so I had to stay. As mad as I was at my surgeon I am also grateful. He told me if I wasn't 100% that I would not be going home. So then they took blood cultures and chest X-rays and everything came back good. My doctor wanted to make sure there were no leaks or signs of infection.
  13. Panda I'm not having any complications from the surgery. I have this darn head cold and the doctor isn't allowing me to take anything but Tylenol. I also had an allergic reaction from something. I was like this is not supposed to be happening. Anyway I'm feeling good besides the cold and I'm tolerating the clear liquids very well. I had spoken to a friend of mines whose had the surgery done and I asked her about sipping the liquids. She told me to sip like your sipping something hot. It works very well.
  14. My surgery went well. I'm a little sore that's about all. I'm on the clear liquid diet which I'm tolerating well. I ended up getting a cold and had an allergic reaction to something all of this at the hospital. I came home sicker then when I went in. Lol. Otherwise I'm doing great. Just following the doctors orders. Also walking as much as I can. The doctor said this helps keep the lungs functioning properly and will help relieve some of the soreness. So far so good!
  15. Thank you all. I feeling fine except I developed a head cold. How do you go to the hospital and get sick. Lol. I'm just waiting on the doctor to release me. I miss my bed so much.
  16. I feel good. Ive had Jello, hot tea, snapple diet iced tea and Water. I haven't felt nauseated at all.
  17. Hello everyone. I am 2days post op. I don't feel too bad just a little sore. I'm still in the hospital because I have a fever. Otherwise I'm doing good.
  18. Good morning all. Well I'm at the hospital waiting to have my surgery done. I'm not nervous yet. I guess it didn't hit me yet. Well keep me in your prayers. I will be in touch as soon as possible.
