  5. Andrea~ You should definatly fight for this band. You go get them to resubit your info. You don't back down one bit!! Good luck and I wish you the best!!!
  6. Lynn You are doing awsome. I wish I would have done some measuring of myself before getting banded. Alll I have to go by is my clothes sizes and what my scales say!!!
  7. Yum!! Cream cheese!! It sure sounds like it could be amushy. I could eat regular cheese during my mushy stage. Don't see why cream cheese would be any different. You should post a sample of that 3 dat menu to follow. I know those plateus can be tuff to buge sometimes!

Pradagirl I had this same pain for about a week!! My second week I was up and back to normal and in no pain. Share your story on your rebanding experience... did your band slip? How much weight have you lost in 3 years and also where are you from and where were you banded??
  11. Hey!! glad to see your back. Glad you enjoyed your trip!!
  12. I think it is so great that you have such a good outlook on things even in times of trouble. Thank you for reminding me of all the things I so often take for granted...including my band. I wish you all the luck in the world and continued success!!
  13. Wheetin ~It really sounds like you will have a good suport system from your husband. Thats gonna help alot! I think you have a good chance of qualifying... keep researching and take it to the next level. If you have knee problems that is 1 deffinate comorbity. Go to your primary care Dr. and get a physical. You could have high cholesterol or blood pressure that if dr documents you can show as comorbities. You will never know what your outcome will be till you take it to the next step. Your bmi qualifys already... thats one step you know will qualify. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress!
  14. Welcome to LBT!! I think you have come to the right place to find answers and great suport. Good Luck in your research and with making your desicion to get your band!!
  15. My bmi was 49 when I started looking into being banded. My bmi now is 39 it has droped so much since I've lost weight and so will yours. Your not alone we all pretty much came from the same place that your at and the band has helped us lower our body weight as well as our bmi... not to mention has helped our health/self esteem/confidence and the list goes on wih NSV'S or (Non Scale Victories) Be proud of your self for coming to the point that you have asked for help and want to gain the greatest tool for weight loss ever invented (in my book LOL!!!) and just know that one day you will be telling your self this was the best desicion you could have ever made and say good bye to that high bmi and hello to a new you!!! Good luck!!!
  16. Speaking of awsome.... 46 pounds in 3 months is what is awsome. You keep working that band of yours like that and you will be looking great in no time!!! Thanks for your encouraging words!!
  17. These days are getting better and better for me. I've lost 71 pounds in 8 months. I feel better, have more confidence and more energy to play with my 6 yr old daughter than ever before. I've been told by my Dr.that very soon I will be able to stop all cholesterol and blood pressure meds I've been taken for 1 year now. I excersice at least 3 days a week (not enough but more than I have in a long time.) I eat 3 meals a day and try real hard not to snack in between . I have really good days and really bad days with my eating, but overall I do make better food choices and my band makes my bad food I consume so much smaller that it doesn't keep me from losing weight. My band has given me the oppurtunity to embrace life to the fullest and to be greatful to be one of the blessed ones to be able to have a tool that has helped me regain my health! I have 44 more pounds to lose to get to my second goal I set for my self. I know I will get there and hopeful make a third goal and see it too!! This was the best desicion I could have ever made and I would do every second all over again to continue to strive to regain alot of life that I lost feeling sorry for my self for to long. This has been my new lease on life and with God (and my band LOL!!!) all things are possible.
  18. Welcome to LBT! I'm wishing you lots of luck on getting banded!!
  19. Lynn B it is good to hear a different view... in my case they were very similar for me but it sounds like I was just a lucky one. I do think my side hurt more with my band because of the port but other than that my recovery time and all were pretty close for each surgery. Thanks for the extra warning. Lady Splenda prepare yourself cause it is true you could be in for a little more than you think. Over all though I think you will be fine. Take a couple extra days off and go at things slow and easy. I'm wishing you a speedy recovery!!
  20. I think mine should be called ....Lifesaver!!!!! Its for sure its added at least 10 yrs back to my life aleady!!
  21. I did not have nightmares before surgery... but I must say that if you had your galbladder removed this surgery will be very semilar to that. I had my galbladder taken out 1 month before my band was placed (Dr. wouldn't do both in one surgery) You will be fine. Stop all that worrying and get some well needed rest.
  22. WOW YOu have done an awsome job with your band. So happy for you!!! Hopefully I will get to see that 100 loss my self but until then I will try hard to follow in your foot steps of good example.WAY TO GO!!!
  23. Vines this is wonderful news. I'm so proud of you your doing GREAT!!!!
  24. Welcome to band land each day will get easier for you. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!!
  25. WOW!!! I used the bmi calculator and Mine was 51 at time of surgery weight and is 39 now!!! Big difference.
