  1. I agree with the above statements if you must eat make sure that you are getting in your protein, water, and eat popsickles that are sugar free the hunger will past good luck my friend.
  2. While I was in the hospital my nurse gave me one and my surgeon said I did not need it and did not want me wearing it, and I trusted him and found out that I felt better without it, remember that when you are wearing these bands they are holding everything in and compressing everything you want to build strength back in your stomach as well as support your back and this can be obtain through sitting properly or proping yourself up with a pillow. Good luck my friend and make sure you check wit your surgeon before putting one on.
  3. Hi I am sorry that you are going through so much please call your nurse and ask her can you speak with your doctor on their rounds so that your concerns can be address, sending prayers your way and keep us posted.
  4. Please do not let someone else tragedy prevent you from being healthy, discuss your concerns with your doctor, and remember the good always outweighs the bad, think about your mobility now and how you feel and think with this life changing miracle can give you. I know for me I was taking insulin 6 times a day along with high blood pressure and high cholesterol and within three days of surgery I was off all of my medications and feeling great. I wish you the best of look and keep us posted.

Congrats to you all for making the choice to be healthy, this is an exciting time and the time will fly faster than you think, take this opportunity to learn everything you can and began making changes, trust me the surgery is so worth the wait. In regards to some of the questions pose there are more accepted insurance approvals then denials, the entire process from start to end you will learn alot about yourself, friends and so called friends and even family members. I am 7 weeks post opt and I am loving life. Good luck to you all.
  6. You can drive as long as your off of your pin meds and is feeling fine, I would still use a pillow between your incisions and the seat belt. Good luck my friend.

  11. Hi I am 7 weeks out and my nutrition told me if a stall occurs make sure that you are eating enough as well as protein and water. I was doing great on the protein but was not getting in my water and eating 500 calories a day she bump my calories up to 700- 900. Hope this helps.
  12. I was told between 60 to 80 grams of protein per day, so I drink 2 protein shakes and eat some protein like chicken. But check with your doctor they always knows best. Good luck and congrats on your choice to be healthy.

  14. Hi I went back to work to work after 2 weeks but I could have went back after 1 week, my husband insisted on me not going back until I had my first check up with my surgeon and primary. Good luck.

  17. Congrats on your impending surgery, I'm super excited fir you I enjoy premier protein shakes and drink 2 a day to get all of my protein in they are 30 grams a protein a serving, you can buy them at SAMs club or costco good luck my friend .
  18. Lol I had a potatoe chip , the pain was very manageable and I was up and walking 4 hours after surgery, congrats on your choice to be healthy.
