Kidney Stones

Three weeks ago, almost exactly one year my from RNY I developed kidney stones on both sides. Long story short, it required two ER visits, a hospital stay, and two surgeries later, but I am on the mend. But something happened while in the hospital I couldn't believe. Once I had my surgery, they handed me a menu and said here you go, order whatever you want. No restrictions. What? I had never been in the hospital except for my RNY, but visited countless people that had some sort of restriction, or another. But I could order whatever I wanted? Of course, I had to kill the mood and remind them that I can't have sugar and don't eat too many carbs, but that was my choice and I could have ordered all the ice cream I wanted. But I was good, I wouldn't have been able to eat it anyway without dumping...but to think I was normal weight in one year and could get anything I wanted. I so love that I had this surgery!
