1. I hate to post this kind of thing but I really appreciate and respect all of your opinions. so here it is ... the question ... should I get another fill!?! So I had my third fill 2 1/2 weeks ago and was very tight at first. Now as the time goes on I am loosening up to a point where although I can feel some restriction when eating I dont stay full for very long. My concern is that last time at least 1/3 of the saline was not in the band from the previous fill so I am wondering if that has happened again. On the other hand, I am not sure if my sense of what an appropriate meal is has become totally distorted! Last night I had 3 oz chicken, 2 oz spinach and about 1 oz of brown rice. For Breakfast today I had a glass of skim milk. For lunch today I had 2 egg whites, 6 lf ritz crackers with about 1 1/2 oz lf cheese and a 4 oz fruit cup and although I am getting some first bite syndrome i do not feel particularly full now. Seems like a lot right? certainly more than I could eat the first week after my fill. My concern is that I know my doctor will be going away for the holidays and it usually takes 1-2 weeks to schedule. Any thoughts would be much appreciated and I apologize in advance for the nature of this post.
2. I change my answer - I originally voted - 2-3 but then I measured and it is only 1 inch!
3. So sorry for your horrible experience! Feel better soon. Ice for the head?
4. THanks for the advice! Now that I think about it I have been skimping on water - I find it hard to drink quickly particularly during the spinning class -- so I am am going to really push the liquids and see if that helps things out a bit. I would love to be under 200 or close by new years (13lbs to go) but I realize that that would be quite a push.
5. Update: Lost 3lbs and then gained one back since I set the goal. KarenG.......215............213...............205...............8
6. I have a giant fitness goal for the month - I am trying to prepare myself for this new years eve event that I am going to which includes a spinning class followed by a 5K at midnight! Sadly, I cant work on my running today because it is snowing here.
7. ##*@#@ snowing here so I can't start week 7 today! You guys are doing great!
8. My surgeon pulled out some of my stitches that were sticking out at my one month appt - then more popped and before I had a chance to ask him to take those out, they fell out. Yours might fall out before the 17th but if not ask the doctor to snip them out.
9. I hope it is water weight! I definately have restriction and can say honestly I am not eating bad foods! I did another spinning class today - am exercising 5-6 days a week at high intensity for 45-mins to an hour - mind boggling. How does one get rid of water weight?
10. Gained 1 1/2 lbs since Wednesday. This is making me nuts since I am spinning and running every day. Not weighing myself again until Weds (or maybe monday). :girl_hug: PS - why did I gain? I have not been eating more than 1/2 cup 3x per day with one snack?
11. I think you are supposed to be awake during oral surgery, colonoscopy and c-section - dont they call that "twilight" anesthesia?
12. Not so odd - I started knitting again. Also, exercise.
13. I find that the cardio has really helped me - particularly if the scale stalls. Try increasing/intensifying.
14. I can eat it at night but I need to chew so much it revolts me.
15. I know! Look at us go running, running, running less than 4 months out!
16. Yep Central Park, NY. London and NY do feel the same in some ways.
17. Whos - come and do it with me! Fireworks in Central Park as you run!
18.
I went spinning this morning and have classes scheduled for tomorrow, sunday and monday too - thinking of adding my 25 minute runs in also and see how that works. I am thinking of attending a spinning/running new years party at the spinning studio on new years eve - it includes meditation, a spinning class and then a 5K run followed by drinks and champagne. I really need to get myself both spinning and running on the same day in order to be able to do this within one month. Yikes.

19. I always think that I am too tight when the water gurgles down and it freaks me out. Each time I think I have been swollen and a few days later I loosen up. I think as long as you can drink liquids you are ok for now just don't push it with solids until the swelling goes down.
20. Candle - thank you so much for your answer. I was wondering mainly what caused it and also if it meant I was too tight. I guess I have my answers!! Thanks
21. I was totally sure last week I wouldn't make the 20 minute run but somehow I did. You can do it just don't think about it too much and keep going! I did week 6, day 2 today the ten minute runs - not too bad. I really look forward to runnng now - what kind of sick person am I?! Next run is the 25 minute run and then on to week 7! Yikes. Good luck everyone.

23. Thanks for your answers guys. I don't think first bite syndrome is being full after just one bite - I think it is feeling some pain after the first bite or two that goes away after a few minutes. Can anyone shed some light on this?
24.
I know there are threads on here about this but does anyone know what causes it? Does it mean you are too tight? Is it dangerous to your band? I could not find this answer in any of the threads on this topic.

Thanks!
