  1. Spinning again for me tonight but tomorrow I am supposed to run and it looks like rain! ugh. If it isn't too bad I will just find my poncho!
  2. I asked my nutritionist about this the first week out and she felt that if I was drinking and getting some protein (in my case milk not shakes) that it was fine for the short term. It is the long term not eating that is a problem.
  3. I felt a big difference. I dont have great restriction now but there was definately a differnce betwen #1 and #2 but this all depends on how agressive your doctor is will the fills.
  4. You can do it! Think how far you have come. Also, if you been able to do it once you can do it again - just keep repeating each week until it is no problem for you!
  5. Can you try to do it at a really really slow pace? I bet that would help you. I think that it has helped me not to do it on the treadmill because I don't focus on how fast I am going but more on how my body feels. I think it was Jachut who suggested going really really slow in the start. In terms of the crampy legs - are you drinking enough? Don't be dissapointed - I bet you just had an off day/week etc. and you will find another rush of motivation soon enough.
  6. I am don't know anything about this but you could probably email the guy maybe he could send to you in another format - you know how he always invites you to email him at the end?
  7. THanks again guys. I emailed my food log to the nutritionist last week, and then had a phone appt with her. SHe said I am making good choices probably just need a fill. Losin - I am totally retarded with the measuring tape so I am never able to get consistent measures of myself. I do know that I have lost a lot of inches in the past 3 months since I barely have anything left that I can wear. I can't decide if I should try week 5 or stay with week 4 for another week. I guess I will see how I am feeling tomorrow!
  8. I am not supposed to eat or drink before.
  9. so interesting... my doctor's office calls it adjustment I wonder if this is why.... makes sense.
  10. thanks guys! I will try to keep positive. I guess I got spoiled for the first couple of months out. It just seems odd that the wl slows down when I totally upped the exercise/cardio. NOT very motivating. I just keep hoping that I will get a big loss soon and it will all make sense!
  11. I have had the new ipod nano for two weeks now and I love it.
  12. Thought there was something really badly wrong with my bathroom sink and shower so I called the plumber - nothing was draining - a really gross situation. THe good news it was simple and quick to fix. The bad news is that the amount of hair he found in my combined drains was (I am not kidding) around the size of my cat. :cry I had noticed that my hair was not as full and a lot was coming out in my brush and all over my clothing but seeing so much at once was a real shocker!
  13. Feeling a little glum because despite running and spinning I haven't lost any weight in over 2 weeks. I know patience, muscle tone etc. but it is getting me down anyway. I have an appointment for another fill on Friday and I am hoping it will get my portions in control. This will be my third fill - have had one basically every 4 weeks since 6 weeks after surgery.
  14. Thanks guys - I could do milk.
  15. I go outside so I have no ide ahow fast I am going. I do know that I am going SLOW - everyone passes me. I can confirm as of today that I am actually running faster than my brisk walk and I wasn't very sure of this! I would take it really slow to begin with becasue you are using new muscles and I think you will know as it gets easier that you can up your speed a bit.
  16. How long should I be waiting before I go running or to a spinning class? I am finding scheduling a challenge - particularly when I workout in the morning. Also a problem if I wait to eat until after exercising, then I have to wait to drink so I feel like I may not be getting as much water as I should be after an intense (sweaty) workout. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  17. Week 5 looks hard! Plus, I started going to spinning last week so I don't want to overdo it!
  18. This is such a favorite topic on this board! I don't think that there is a right or wrong answer. For me, I have known people with bypass who regained. My doctor liked the band for me because of my age, my BMI and because I would like to have kids in the future. Personally, I liked the fact that it is adjustable and less invasive. I understood that there is a small percentage of people that it does not work for but I figured I could always try another surgery if this less invasive one did not work for me. My doctor described it as a tool but one that is less powerful then the other options. I was ok with that because I wanted to try to change eating and exercise on my own - I have found it to be very powerful and I don't really even have great restriction yet. Good luck!
  19. first was my face, then my hips and butt in waves -its really odd - sometimes the scale doesn't go down but my pants are falling off. Very mysterious.
  20. It is a mystery to me! Are you exercising a lot? I am and I guess right now it is muscle gain.
  21. I am having the opposite issue right now. I haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks but my clothing is getting looser and looser - I almost have nothing left to wear.
  22. Hi Trystelle - I may repeat week 4 too - week 5 looks really hard - I think there is a 20 minute run!
  23. How did you do it without exercise?? Very inspiring.
  24. Thanks Carol, I feel better hearing that. How many fills until you got to 13? I wonder how much I will get next time!
