I feel the same way - I have been very careful and measuring food and eating correctly and exercising. I know tha the band is helping somewhat but I scheduled my second fill (and got approved for it) becasue I explained what an effort this was. Explain to your doctor how careful you have been and I bet he will agree.

Hi Wasa, I am one of the people who has been marveling at your progress. I am scheduled for my second fill on Friday and even after numerous conversations with the nutritionist ( who is great) and others I am still confused as to the proper amount I should be able to eat. My impression from her was that 1/4 cup was really too little and she was not aiming for that for me. How much have you been eating with your excellent weight loss?

WOW so exciting WASA you are .5 lbs from goal!

I know they say 1-2lbs a week average but I assume it is 1 lb one week three another week. Is anyone consistently losing 3 or more lbs per week? <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

I just got my first comment from someone I work with sometimes and hadn't seen since June. I really can't tell yet from looking in the mirror but my clothing is loser. I imagine my co-workers notice the floppy suits more than anything else.

Faithmd - i can't believe you have lost 70lbs without a fill! That is so amazing. I am alreaday scheduled for my second fill in a few weeks.

You have to be annoying on the phone. I think that all of these offices are bombarded with potential patients - I was proactive (read: a pain in the a$$) and could tell that the staff was annoyed with me and I felt really bad because I thought that it wasn't the greatest way to start a relationship with the office but I figured it is my life and my health and my right. I am saying persistent not rude. Keep going!

It was about 3 weeks for me but I have a good insurance company and I was extremely proactive about setting up all the pre-op tests etc.

what are your symptoms? Is it like heartburn?

Every day gets better and pretty soon the liquids and mushy days will be just a memory. I felt the same way and I have been on solids for about 3 weeks.

I don't understand the difference between this band and the ones already being used? Sounds very similar to me.

when is season 2?

I haven't had a baby but I would agree to wait as long as possible. I was up and about really quickly but really tired for over a month. Bending and sleeping were also uncomfortable at times. Also, I had an infection and needed to take antibiotics which I imagine would not be great for breast feeding.

glad you are fine now! What size band do you have?

I have them go light on the rice and roll it with soybean paper and I have been fine so far.

Ask your doctor of course but I say don't sell your horse! You many not be able to ride for a month or two but you should be fine after that!

What do you think of an anklet instead? Really don't want something as visible as a bracelet.
