Is This Normal

I havent ate in like 4 day's going on 5 im not hungry at all now. I take my vitamins an protien with milk other then that im drinking water all day. Im not tryin to starve myself or anthing im just not hungry an im still on liquids :help:

Please follow your doctors orders for postop diet. You don't want to make yourself sick now! Don't forget, they say if you don't get enough nutrition your body goes into "starvation" mode and tries to hold onto the weight.

I asked my nutritionist about this the first week out and she felt that if I was drinking and getting some protein (in my case milk not shakes) that it was fine for the short term. It is the long term not eating that is a problem.

My doc told me right after surgery that if I was not hungry, I did not have to eat. I would just be sure to do a couple of protein shakes per day and plenty of water. If you get shaky feeling like low blood sugar, drink some fruit juice.
