I go up a lb or two then drop. I have gotten used to the rhythms of my weight loss so I am not alarmed...annoyed a bit, yes. Lol. If you are following the game plan...getting in Protein, drinking Water and limiting carbs and mixing in some physical activity...your weight can only eventually go down...good luck:)

I have never had the foamies, but I have had the slimes. No, they are not one in the same. Funny though... I never had the slimes when I was on a liquid diet, so this leads me to believe that it is related to actual food not being chewed thoroughly.

I know what your going through when it comes to the excess saliva. I have days that i cant keep it in my mouth. some nights I keep a towel under my mouth to catch all of it. apparently it gets less and less over time, my doctor says. chin up girl it will get better

Foaming is one of the side effects. My doctor says to drink something warm to dissolve it. Hope this helps. Sorry you are having a hard time.

From the different posts it may take a while. Some suggest to make sure you take in at least 20Gm of carbos to avoid ketosis. Others say Drink Water Constantly. Most say it (eventually) gets better. I use listerine strips, but really nothing helps much. And then (just for fun) we all get to 'pass gas' a lot as well...

Amen. This place is nothing like it was when i joined last year. So many rude people. OP asked for feedback - not a sermon. Maybe she cant handle others kicking her off her soap box.
And so what if she went to MX? Shes still alive i see. No complications from what I can tell. Not everyones insurance will pay the god awful price that US doctors charge. Some have to pay out of pocket. Guess what - most of what you use/wear/drive is probably made in China.
    So?

This is normal and it will end soon! Keep drinking and walking. Once you get all the pain meds and the anesthetic out of your body you'll feel much better. Be patient, I knows it's rough. Take some time to rest. The first few days I slept a lot, it was the only time I didn't feel sick. Congratulations and good luck on this journey to the new happy and healthy you.

Plenty of people are fat and dont eat a lot I'm not some rare species. As a teenager I probably ate 1800-2000 calories which according to drs that should be enough to maintain but i was gaining instead..looking back at it from pre op when I was eating about 1200 a day for a few years I guess I might say that is over eating but when I came on here and see that some people go back for thirds at dinner and can finish a whole large popcorn on their own I dont think I was over eating at all.

I am a week out today!!!! I stayed 2 nights in the hospital and have felt great since I have been home. Getting fluids in and Protein, but when I get up and take a shower, do my hair and makeup I am shaky and weak after. Is it normal to still feel weak a week post op? I need to get my strength back so I can head back to work in a week.

This time last week I was just getting out of the OR. Today I can't stop crying! I feel incredible. At times forgetting I even had anything done until the dizziness reminds me and I feel hungry. I am down 20 lbs though! Yes 20! It seems so unreal? I'm handling my liquids just perfect, however Protein and I are not seeing eye to eye. My first post op appointment is Thursday. I then get to say goodbye to my drain tube which I'm very excited about! I hope everyone else is doing well

Omg. Is this what my post has come to. Lol it was just a bowl of popcorn. Ive lost 10 pounds since this post. Like I said I work out every other day if I want to have a little snack every once in a while something light like popcorn or a handful of baked potato chips I will. As a whole my eating habits have changed. Im making progress and like I said im not just sitting around waiting for the fat to fall off.

Torani SF syrups, Laughing cow babybel cheese and the soft cheeses (50 cal and 35 cal, respectively), Sargento reduced fat cheddar cheese sticks, 100-calorie packs of almonds, Sabra individual hummus packs (though I prefer fresh hummus, they are good in a pinch), Morningstar vegetarian "sausage" patties (80 cal, 10 g Protein, low carb), low-fat ricotta cheese, fat-free plain Greek yogurt, PB2 or JustGreatStuff powdered Peanut Butter, almond milk, lite soy milk, Morningstar veggie "meat"balls, spaghetti squash (lots of Fiber and filling), watermelon (seems to make me lose more weight and keeps kidney stones at bay due to citrates), strawberries (dipped in FF Greek Yogurt mixed with SF black cherry torani), homemade iced coffee, Designer whey and Unjury protein powders, Pure Protein Protein Bars (only eat 1 about every 2 weeks), Weight Watchers Greek yogurt bars (80 calories, 5 grams protein, 13 carbs--once a week treat but better than commercial fro yo or ice cream plus good protein boost for low-cal treat), SmartWater (electrolytes!), Rancho Gordo dried beans--make the Beans from scratch and they are so much better than canned, homemade salsa from the local Mexican joint--put it on everything for extra flavor, sprouted tofu--more protein, Morningstar crumbles for homemade veggie chili, red pepper strips, mini cucumbers, romaine lettuce, Penzey's herbs and spices, fresh cilantro, Granny Smith apples (occasional treat for fiber boost), quinoa (protein boost).....

I would suggest you call your Dr.S office and get some medicine for the nausea. If you already are taking something then try to stay hydrated. As nanasez has said..... I hope you have some relief soon. The first few weeks were the worst for me. The nausea went away after that point. Best wishes

The most important thing is to keep hydrated. I had a hard time even drinking Water, they only way I got my liquid in was eating ice chips and SF popsicles. I found at Walmart a liquid whey Protein that I wish I would have had at the beginning. I now just split it up in 3 doses and everyday mix 1 dose with lots of water for 14grs of protein. The bottle is 42g of protein but now that I am 6 mos post op I try to get my protein through food. But I would mix this liquid with water and freeze it to make ice chips or your own popsicles this way you are still getting some protein in as well. Good luck and keep us posted
