My NUT told me it was safe to try thin crusted pizza (I'm 9 weeks out today...)...so I did! It's been months since I had it! WOW!! We ordered Domino's...and it tasted gourmet! LOL
    I highly recommend it

Ok so I was an avid follower and reader of this sight for months... but now I find it hard to get on here and believe everything I read.
I have went to my drs and asked alk the questions that were brought up on here and a lot of them my dr just laughed at and explained it for a sleeve patient vs a bypass patient.
He told me I can drink as I eat the valve will not just open and wash out food that is a bypass thing. Nothing with the valve has been changed. He said it will just make you full faster so instead you should eat your food but if you feel the need to drink do so.
The constipation/diarhea is most likely caused by your Protein Drinks and bars because other than your stomach being smaller there is no difference in how your body works.
The only thing he says is watchbout for a lot of bad carbs like candy, cakes and such but good carbs are ok. Eat until your full.
My nutritionist says the same. I track roughly 3-5 days a week and she says that's fine and to stay between 1000/1200 calories a day. If you feel the need for a hersheys kiss track it. And to always get your 80 gms of Protein in and your 64oz of Fluid.
I keep seeing so many other things and stories on here about things that I look up and those are the rules of bypass patients..
Just somethings drs disagree on I suppose and they all do things different. Usually I don't drink while eating but I can right after. It doesn't make me any hungrier any earlier I eat about every 3 to 4 hours and seem fine. My demons are haunting me.. candy crackers and chips and I am trying to fight those demons. I just don't know how. I need to get them out of my house... I don't like halloween bevause my boys bring home so much candy and I always have found myself eating more than they do. ..
Trying to eat cleaner and stay away from carbs.. I have 3 months of my honeymoin phase and have noticed a dramatic slow down of my weight loss. So here's to me getting back on the wagon...

My advice: DON'T TRY THEM! (I know that's totally unrealistic). My NUT said I could start introducing breads/carbs into my diet at 5-6 weeks and so, being the food addict I am, I ran out and tried eating a piece of toast. Slid down with no problem at all. Wanted more. Very scary experience. I have to treat sugar and bread like crack cocaine. I can't be trust to have "just a little." I know that this isn't everyone's experience....

That's one thing I'm going to try to eliminate from my diet. For me it's going to be P&P....protein and produce

ladylaura reacted to gamergirl in Stall for TWO weeks?
I was sleeved 8/2 and I stalled for two weeks too, or near to that. I know it was at least 12 days. I did NOTHING different to get out of it.
Well I take that back. I fretted, I panicked, I got depressed, I got impatient, I went 3 days without weighing, i wondered if I was eating too little or too much, i scrutinized my carbs and my Protein....but through it I ate and drank and walked just as i was supposed to.
And then one day it was gone.
I lost 21 lbs the first month since starting pre-op and then I lost only 7 lbs the second month. But despite that, somehow it magically added up to 28 lbs in two months so I thought I better be happy about that!
so frustrating right?? Just be patient. It will happen.

Keep on track and don't panic. Protein, Water and exercise should do it. We have all been there, the key is to stick with the plan, watch out for losing inches while the scales are stationary and your stall will break eventually - and then your weight will drop.
    Hang in there!

I felt the exact same way. Everyone will say that it gets better, and guess what, it does. I had a hard time getting my fluids in early out and the head hunger was driving me crazy. I finally decided that I WAS NOT going to let my frustrations get the better of me. I focused on working my plan and getting my fluids and Protein in and in a few weeks the clouds parted and the sun was shining. It will happen for you, too. You just need to power through the hard parts at the beginning.
    Good Luck!

From a 18/20 to a 10/12! I bought a gorgeous Kelly green dress today in a 10. I am so stoked. I moved a little in my stall....thank goodness! Started keeping a food journal again. I am getting in about 1000-1200 calories, 80 grams of Proteins, 20-30 net carbs per day, 20-30 grams of fat. Working out. Snacks are Ostrim Snacks and Quest Bars. Surgery was end of February. I am so happy I did this. I cannot believe i am down 76lbs.

I can stop after one slice of pizza or a piece of chocolate. For me, the "forbidden foods" have always been an issue. So, knowing I CAN actually have them once in a while helps me not feel so depressed or like I want them more. Everything in moderation...

i pray and hope that I will have a horrible reaction to cake which I LOVE (If I'm ever dying in front of your eyes, please offer me some and watch me come back to life) but my sleeve appears to be super-accommodating and doesn't seem to mind anything! dang it.
Except maybe cake if I'm lucky and ever desperate enough to try it?
