LOL!! GT, DUDE...callllllllmmmmm doooooowwwwwwnnnn....!! Do you realise that 1600 calories is totally normal?? I eat more than that on a regular basis...on purpose! You'll be just fine, missus.
I would like to add for the record that 1600 cals is 'deficient' enough to be a diet already, for any adult woman with or without an awesome metabolism...

I started at 222 I am now 156 and I love my body but my goal is 145 and Im at a 6 week stall. I just had surgery on my foot and I can't exercise for at least 2 weeks. I'm really stressed that I will gain weight just laying here. I'm hungry all the time. I'm able to eat bigger portions as well. I can't go back ever! I am just praying that this stall ends and that I can eat healthy again and this hunger goes away.

I had a band to sleeve revision. Do not get the band. Unless you really want to have another surgery soon. I have spoken to hundreds of bandsters who are not happy.
I was at goal when I had my revision, but needed my band out. I haven't become malnourished. Actually I am doing sooooo much better since I can eat proper foods without throwing up.
    Keep looking for another surgeon.

none of the other doctor's offer the sleeve? The docs on your approved list of physicians? That sounds really weird. I would stick to the sleeve, personally. I've had friends where the band slipped and caused them lots of pain and not just in the stomach area. She was having intense back pain. I had another friend who got the band but never got it filled because of time.....
I wish you all the luck!

If you want a sleeve and the doc is pushing a band, get another opinion.
    Good luck...

Get some of the great Protein suppliment powders, and do the two week Protein fast for yourself. You'll lose.
This does seem strange though... the "liver shrinking" is for right before surgery, usually...

You sure you can only eat yogurt? There couldn't have been a misunderstanding? Do you have a print out of instructions? I've never heard of anyone being put on just yogurt. Jello has sugar free pudding in the refrigerated section. I think they are around 60 calories each. I was allowed pudding, cottage cheese yogurt & Soup. Maybe even other things, cant remember offhand.

Cheer Mama reacted to NY Lou in 9 years to finally get sleeved (with pics)...thank you everyone for posting here
this forum and its members have been a blessing. during the past few years when I wasnt able to get sleeved, it was the posts in these forums that allowed me to not give up and not settle for gastric bypass or the lap band. I was determined to get the sleeve, even though my insurance approved me for either gastric bypass or the lap band years ago. it took me 9 years to finally get sleeved...this weight loss journey started for me in 2004 and finally in 2013 it happened. its been a long journey, but finally Im heading in the right direction. so I thank everyone who has ever posted in these forums because it was all of you that kept me going and didnt allow me to give up. if interested, read my story by clicking the link below in my signature file.

You can take Prilosec twice a day. If that doesn't help call your doc for a prescription PPI.

tiny sips! For almost the first week I had my measuring cups lined up and I was sipping them every 10 minutes. IT WAS HARD! :0) After that I kept, and still use, a Water bottle with the oz. measurements on the side.
I have to admit my commitment to getting all my liquids was the threat of hospitalization again due to dehydration.
Sip your tiny sips. OFTEN! I'm about to start my 3rd month and I get dehydrated very easily and it's made worse by the fact that I can't gulp Water without my stomach having serious spasms.
    good luck!

To be honest, it sounds like you expected this surgery to do all the work for you. Virtually everyone who has had the surgery and maintained long term weight loss will tell you that the sleeve is a tool, not the solution. You have to decide that you want to get rid of the weight once and for all by using the sleeve to your advantage in dieting. Every liquid and slider food out there is going to run through your sleeve and will not fill you up. Once you are on solid foods this will not be the case. I recommend patience, and work the program your dietician has put in place. Work it for months before you even evaluate the results.

Your stomach is still numb and healing and it has no idea what you can and can't tolerate. You are at risk of a leak or infection in your staple line until 6+ weeks out. Why aren't you following your doctor's plan? Is it really worth the risk?

Everyone is different and lose at a different pace. Take comfort in knowing you will lose if you are doing everything right.
I stall every 3 weeks for 3 weeks at a time and I know how you feel. But I do take comfort in knowing that at the end of each stall is a bigger loss! Good luck

I was there for two days. So I had already taken an extra pair of panties (just in case. And (tmi alert) if you fart something other then air might come out). The hospital does give you stuff but I don't know if you are like me but I like my own soap and stuff to take a shower. And let me tell you that shower was the best shower in the world. Don't know if you watch The Walking Dead but I was like those guys when they took their first shower in forever. Chapstick is a must. (I had 3). I wore a light t shirt and stretchy yoga pants going in but then changed into one of my over sized sleep shirts. Wore that home.

I wear the same outfit to go home,
    Deodorant
    Phone and charger
sugar free halls for your dry mouth and bad taste.
The hospital gave me a nice box with everything that you will need.(Toothpaste, toothbrush and etc)

    Christy,
I was only in for a little over 24 hours. I wore my loose jeans (loose from pre op diet), I took a back pack with my toothbrush, deodorant, make-up bag and extra pair of panties to wear home. I wore the same clothes home that I wore to the hospital. Keep it simple and good luck. I had no swelling.
