  1. My ex called me a fat cow when he is about 430-500 pounds..he works at a casino and I'm walking my skinny ass in there and going to strut my stuff I mean even if its not to show off I'm turning 21 soon and I'm going to want to go inside any casino around here just to go so its kinda avoidable lol.
  2. I actually had to take a drug test that also tested the nicotine and cotinine levels and my insurance won't cover me until I pass which I did but yea my hospital has a center of excellence and they will not operate if you smoke weed or nicotine.
  3. I'm pre op and I usually just bring my own food. One night I went and a lady had her own fried chicken and sauce! LOL
  4. I'm going to buy a box of premier and then protein powder but I don't know which ones are good. Any suggestions?
  5. I went to a seminar with my grandma when I was 17 and now I'm 20 starting my 6 months! Congratulations !
  6. i was thinking of just trying crest whitening strips..do you know if those work? Lol
  7. How much does it cost to get your teeth whitened ? In the states I mean. Have you checked?
  8. Unjury has unflavored powder as well
  9. Didn't they check your iron in the beginning. My first appointment was with my surgeon and she ordered blood tests. That was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't done it but I plan on fasting and getting it over with this weekend. You would think they test at the beginning so you can have everything fixed during your 3 or 6 month diet. Either way I'm sorry to hear you are going through this.
  10. I'm assuming mine will be at the end since I have done everything else at the beginning.
  11. I would advise getting a different psychologist if you can. What he says can mess up your approval. I wouldn't have been comfortable with that.
  12. Congratulations! You look great!
  13. I don't think having a child recently can get you denied..
  14. I have Aspergers,ADHD and bi polar but I'm pre op so I'm not sure
  15. If you have a 6 month diet required its best to add another month on top of that for the time it takes to schedule appointments and tests
  16. Good luck to you both! I'm not looking at surgery till December since I am just starting my 6 months diet
  17. Only my family knows right now..my aunt basically spilled the beans to the rest of my family but they are actually taking it well and some are really supportive. My aunt was against it at first cause she had to have a hysterectomy and it went horribly wrong. Her wound got infected and they had to leave it open for like a month so she is all about the complications and refused to believe I needed this. She's getting better with it though. My therapist encourages me to be excited about this and tell people but I'm a pessimist and always think something will go wrong. With that being said I want people to know what I am going through and hopefully encourage people to do something about their weight. I'm going to post it on Facebook but not till I have been approved for surgery! Besides..spilling the beans runs in the family and something this big is impossible for me to keep to myself lol.
  18. what are your problem areas so far if you don't mind me asking? You started out a bit heavier than me but I assume ill prob need some too.
  19. I think everyone is scared for any kind of surgery. Just remember why you are doing this and keep your eye on the prize. What helps me is to think about after surgery. Being able to shop in regular stores and fit in regular shoes. Being able to do things you normally couldn't or had trouble with!
  20. thanks looks like ill need a pill crusher. Do they give you your regular meds in the hospital? And do they crush them up?
  21. how long does it take for b12 to dissolve? I have to take my bi polar and sleep meds for the rest of my life so I figure a few extra vitamins isn't a biggie. Thanks for the info!
