  1. Wow you look great! Congratulations!
  2. Congratulations!
  3. Well I don't know about atna but some insurances will if your extra skin is causing problems. It all has to be documented though
  4. My surgeon is dr Folek at riverbend. And im my surgeon is dr Folek at riverbend. And I'm doing great! Have my first appointment with my dietician and psychologist on the 24th!
  5. You should wait till you have another kid unless you can afford two breat lifts
  6. completly understand because that's where I'm at and I am pre op lol.
  7. Thanks ladies for your replies!
  8. I only have sex with my bf maybe once every 3+ months but I'm not very sexual at all. I hardly have urges and I'm wondering if its my weight and mood.
  9. Has weight loss surgery or losing a large amount of weight even with out surgery made you more or less sexual? Also has it made your experience better like orgasims and what not lol.
  10. I start my 6 months June 24th when I have my first dietician and psychologist appointment. I'm looking at surgery in Decembe. Welcome and good luck!
  11. yikes lol I would totally forget some meds if I had to do that. Lol
  12. Why 6 months? Im almost 21 and its a good thing we are doing this young!
  13. Well I take mood stabilizers and anxiety meds but my surgeon eval is at the beginning and we went over my meds. I'm prob going to switch meds for anxiety to a take as needed cause I only have social anxiety. I'm at the beginning of my 6 months so if it can't be crushed hopefully it can be worked out in my 6 months. It's a shame not every place lets you see the surgeon first and do all the tests at the beginning. It's for the best though.

You can always ask for them to modify the food. Also I see a lot of people who ask for a box from the start and put most of the portion away before eating.
  15. Congratulations and good luck!
  16. It actually makes me happy to know that progress is being made and stuff to look forward too. But it's worth it i mean they are doing this to make sure you will be ok for surgery. Some may be over the top but its a big surgery and a life changer. Better to be safe than sorry lol
  17. When I brought it up to my bf he thought it was over the top and that I should try Akins with him and put in some real effort. In the two years we have been together I haven't gone into detail about what I have tried and how long I have been over weight. It still didn't help much but after a few weeks and a informational seminar he's actually excited for me now. Being educated often helps family members out. And time.
  18. I'm pre op but regular people have tested this. I saw it on a tv show once. A thin lady was in New York asking for help and everyone helped her. Then they put on a fat suit and extra skin on her face and was out asking the same questions and people actually avoided her, some people helped though. I'm not only fat but I'm bi racial and its not nearly as bad these days but I'm watched closely in some stores. It happens a lot as a child and my grandma actually confronted a clerk once lol. I can change my weight but I can't change my ethnicity. I have become introverted and learned to like to stay home.
  19. i sent you a message
  20. i forgot to ask. She did tell me that on my first eval my surgeon might have not said it to me but she mentioned it to her and that was weeks ago. I just assumed it was part of the testing but hematologist are experts if you have problems. I hadn't even got my blood tests then so I'm not sure
  21. my coordinator said my surgeon said she might have me see one ? She hasn't seen my blood work or my treadmill test yet. Has anyone else been asked to see one or know why?
  22. I see the dietician and the psychologist. My surgeon said she thinks she wants me to see a hematologist? Has anyone else needed to see one? And what for?
  23. I think mine will be at the end of my 6 months. I sure hope they put me to sleep for it.
  24. It's going to cause some pain. Your tummy is swollen and healing. As long as you move on and don't do it again you should be fine.
