  1. So what vitamins will I need and should I even be preparing before hand or should I wait till I find out if I'm approved? Also I hear that you need liquid and chewable vitamins after surgery, does that apply to other meds as well? I take meds to sleep and I don't think they have those in chewies lol
  2. im 5"3 as well I thought you looked the same height! Do you have bad flabby Skin?
  3. My insurance requires a referral from your primary care. Then you go to the seminar. Some places you don't see the surgeon first but after the seminar I got a appointment with my surgeon for evaluation. Then she ordered blood work and cardiac clearance which is usually a treadmill test and a EKG I also had to do a drug test including nicotine. Then you see a dietician and usually a psychologist and sometimes classes that involve diet and stuff with the sleeve then sometimes they will do a endoscopy to see if you have any hernias, bacteria, ulcers ect. But it's best to ask your insurance where to start..also sometimes they won't tell you if they cover unless you have the proper codes otherwise they will just say I don't know.
  4. Wow great job! Thanks for the video! How tall are you?
  5. I was told it can be transferred through shearing food and shearing forks, spoons ect but doctors aren't really sure how it is really transferred
  6. Not certain but they suspect it I mean and you will most likely get it if you live in a household with someone who has it
  7. it is not confirmed how it is transferred but it is certain that if you live with some one and eat after them or share drinks ect you will most likely get it.
  8. allright thank you!
  9. No one told me it was contagious when my grandma had it a few years ago while I was living with her until now so I'm worried I might have it. I'm wondering do I go to my primary doctor and ask to test me or my coordinator? Or just wait till the end of my 6 months when they do the endoscopy.. But if I wait then ill prob have my surgery pushed back to treat the bacteria.
  10. Did any of you get the shot before they put the IV in? The last surgery I had I wussed out and got the numbing baby shot in my hand which some people say isn't worth it cause the shot hurts about the same as the IV lol
  11. I hear that surgeries have been pushed back because some people have had pylori bacteria.
  12. My surgery will be a few months after my 21st birthday. I'm not a drinker but I'm glad ill be able to go to bars and stuff before I can't anymore lol
  13. Well if you have good or ok credit maybe you can finance?
  14. its just tough I try so hard to stay away from those who smoke but its proving to be harder than I thought. And I already have 6 months to wait and to add on to that is just frustrating when its not even me who is choosing to smoke!. That being said I will try to be as confident as I can be. It's not like I smoked a cig my self or sat in a in closed car and inhaled everything. Thanks for your positive feed back
  15. im calling all over but no stores carry them let alone heard of them. I bought mine online. I don't have time to order the tests or cancle my appointment cause its tomorrow and my coordinator isn't in on Sundays that's why I'm freaking out...
  16. I don't really smoke I might take a few puffs every now and then but I didn't know my insurance requires the nicotine test or I would have never tried some of my bfs cigar and my problem now is everyone's second hand smoke. The urine tests can detect second hand smoke and I can't start my 6 month diet unless I test negative
  17. Well premire protein is my fav shake it comes pre made and then unjury has good stuff to put in your soups and jello ect. Ill be 21 when its time for my surgery and it will be my second surgery but my first serious over night surgery lol the nausea is what gets people after most surgeries and from what I hear that and gas pain is the worst part about the whole thing...
  18. I've said a few times that I can't start my 6 month diet until I get a negative on the cotinine test (insurance required) and last week instead of waiting the 30 days since I had taken a few puffs of a cig 2 weeks before my first appointment so I decided to order a home test to make sure ill pass and I did so I told my coordinator to make the test for this Monday..well tonight I went out to sushi with my aunt and she totally forgot I can't be around second hand smoke and lit up a cig while we were in the car and I didn't even notice..she had the window down but I'm still worried im not going to pass..tomorrow (Sunday) ima see if any stores local carry cotinine tests and hopefully be at peace but its soo hard to stay away from second hand smoke and I feel hopeless and like its unfair because I don't smoke but my family and friends do. I am going to be so disappointed if I fail:( not sure what happens if I do and if I can take another test
  19. Smexy! Since I started gaining weight at 13 no one has ever picked me up! So ready for this to happen lol
  20. Did you have to do a endoscopy?
  21. I don't really have many close friends and I think it would kind of be weird to post on Facebook that I had that surgery so only my family knows and not even everyone and come surgery I think I'll just tell those who ask.
  22. I'm 20 my bday is in August so ill be 21 when I'm sleeved but ill be your friend
